Sorry, but if Simms turns out to be a credible player elsewhere, it won’t be a good look for Thibs. I still say that Simms is better than he has shown.

I hope my NYK’s can find away to acquire either Isaiah Stewart or Nick Richards…or both!!! It’s time to move on from both Sims and Robinson. They are players with huge limitations on the offensive end, and haven’t improved at all. Sims is simply a good athlete, and Robinson is just big and always hurt! Enough is enough with both players.
Thibs likes to play 7th to 8th players rotation anyway. And he only gives tiny playing time for 7th & 8th players, there’s no point of having sims.
Dumb. Hear me out this 8 man rotation stuff clearly not working and we already a small team and Mitch injury prone so why remove this guy unless we bring up guys from the G and expand our rotation

Id rather the Knicks keep Precious than Robinson . Trade a Robinson and good pieces we don't use like Toppin and Ujeke for a Richards . Wed free up money that way .
Your thinking is rock solid with this Chris. This is likely to happen between January 7th and January 20th. The NYK will waive Matt Ryan on January 7th since that is the date teams who don't want any players with non-guaranteed contracts on their roster to have their contracts become guaranteed. Combine that with the 14 days the Knicks can play with yet in order to save money on the cap by not having 14 players on their roster (12 players is the minimum). They did this for the first 14 days of the season. You can do it for a total of 28 days for the season including the first 14 days of the season. Shamet's coming soon too. He just started playing in the G-League. Good vid. Keep it up.
Sims played very well this season. The stats don't tell the whole story, esp since he only plays about 10 mins a game: rebounding per min (esp OR), screen assists and rim protection have been solid, effective and even stellar. No reason to permanently bench him for a few bad mins and just bc JB's pet, Precious, came back (though he can't protect the rim- see DET's 120 pts, RJ owning the paint in TOR and the laughing humiliation vs ATL). Amazing how JB can never make a decent pass to Jericho (hell, A pass) but suddenly becomes Pete Maravich when Precious or Hukporti plays. Sims stopped seeing the ball on O after RJ, IQ and QG left and Deuce decided he was never going to make another assist.
Am getting sick of the short rotations, the refusal to play rookies and the way this team just lets JB hog the ball more than any player in the league and Tom Thibodeau…
Like ihart, Obi, IQ, RJ and QG, best thing that could happen to Jericho is getting out of New York and you are right: other teams such as DEN, IND, MEM, DAL, GS and HOU would be better fits for Jericho than the Knicks.
