The Denver Nuggets are looking for some help – clearly outside of the top contenders in the West and with a struggling Jamal Murray… reports are FLYING on the trade possibilities for Denver.
Because let’s be honest, they have to get Nikola Jokic some help. The numbers he has been putting up are incredible – but simply not sustainable for an entire season and playoffs and even then, it just hasn’t been enough in a loaded Western Conference. So lets talk about the trade rumors surrounding Jimmy Butler, Zach Lavine, and Cam Johnson.

At least with Jimmy Butler Denver would have options and CAP space next off season. It helps them get out of a bad MPJ contract and would allow them to add some much-needed depth this summer. The Nuggets issue on offense is the second team, not the starters. They don't have a single player off the bench who can get their own shot on a consistent basis and they regularly blow double digit leads every time Jokic rests.
Nuggs do not need to change personal – they need to change approach. Westbrook should start at 1 n let Murray play 2 spot. Murray’s shooting diminishes with a heavy work load. Keep him fresh by moving him to the 2 spot.
Mpj > lavine
Murray has to go,not good enough for NBA, he's a g league player, Porter junior as well, – Jimmy is worse than Murray and Porter junior,why getting someone like Jimmy seriously?? Lavine is a great for nuggets ! Or other option is Jokic to Phoenix,or Dallas,

With Buttler, Jamal can be traded in offseason for a 3pt shooter.

The only trade involving MPJ that make sense would be with Atlanta for Bogdanovic and Hunter.Even salaries match. You get two players for one,whch adds depth,you get 3p shooting with Bogdanovic,Hunter averaging same ppg as MPJ 19points,so its win-win.Atlanta wants to move veterans and Denver gets what it needs in return. Also trade Nnaji for Valanciunas,so you have reliable replacement for Jokic and that's it. Very simple.
I would love to see playoff Jimmy going off on the west conference playoffs but I dont think he is the ideal trade

IMO Lavine is a way better player than MPJ. both has 3 year left on their contract. Yes MPJ is 10 mil cheaper and no picks im not sure why Bulls would do it even if they want to move Lavine.

MPJ for Lavine would be, at best, a lateral move. makes no sense to shake up your core for that.
Butler on the other hand continues to be one of the best all-around players in the league. *huge* upgrade for them if they can swing it.

If we can get Cam and a good bench player, that would be awesome. Zack is a decent option as well but we definitely cannot give away any picks for him, though the biggest peoblem for the Nuggets is the bench, we need 2 good bench players that can shoot.

People might not like the 3 pt epidemic but if your starting 5 and bench can’t make threes reliably, you will have no shot at all at a championship. You must have shooters in the current league. MPJ needs to be traded that dudes hot garbage offensively and isn’t anything special defensively. They also gotta get rid of Deandre Jordan. They either need to get a 3 and D big or set up a small ball bench. DJ is a cone on defense and if your bench D is gonna be bad, you might as well get some shooters out there.

Jimmy is the guy to get. He understands basketball at higher level and much better defender than porter. Also can get you mych needed bucket. Thats 3 players on your team that can get a closing bucket. No other team has that in the NBA. Go all in for jimmy. Murray, jimmy, peyton Watson, gordon and jokic is an elite starting 5 on all levels
The Nuggets need to somehow trade Murray for 2-3 good players. He's making 52million $ a year. For context Steph Curry is making 54mil a year
Jimmy is the clear talent upgrade but where tf does he fit?? You cannot have a lineup with only 1 real shooter and a good catch n shoot center as the only shooting in your starting 5. It will fail 100%
I think we would get some healing if we saw Zach Lavine throwing some lobs to Aaron Gordon.
