Quarters 2/3 were so frustrating to watch as a nuggets fan but at least they made up for it in the end 😂
Imo we forget how bad the roster and coaching was when Russ was a Laker also AD was injured all the time then.

Jokic is one of those ethical basketball nerds, if he feels the refs are doing him dirty, it gets under his skin, and he loses his focus on the game.
Nobody can rattle Jokic like Marc Davis can.

Realistically, the Nuggets are built to win in the playoffs because that's when they play defense. You saw that last night. In the first half, they played good defense for the 1st quarter. Then they went to sleep on defense, the Clippers jumped right back in the game and then everybody was scoring, especially Fox and Murray. This was NOT a great Jokic game. He was not as aggressive as he has been usually. He's just not willing to expend the energy to do that the entire regular season. If this was a playoff game the Nuggets would get up by 30 and not look back. But, of course the Kings aren't a playoff team at all so that doesn't matter.
I feel like a really underrated side effect of signing Russ this year is his impact on Peyton Watson.. Peyton has always had a high motor but he seems to have more of an edge this year and I love it
Did anyone else notice how lucky we got on defense the last few minutes of crunch time? Jamal still has a way to go. Lets go Nuggets!

I didn’t see Russ get cooked in avg game I watched.. great offensive players scored.. I thought Russ was highly effective and active on defense.. tbh when the bench came in strawther n fouling got they guards in rhythm
Tired of the Murray hate. First there was bubble Murray, if plumlee doesn't leave AD wide open for a 3, we may win a title that year. Then there's playoff Murray, playing like one of the best guards in the league on their way to a title. Then there's hit game winners Murray and they beat a very underrated Lakers team last year. Then a very tired Nuggets team blows it in game 7 against a team built to beat them. Murray had 35. Lest we forget. He's been inconsistent and can get salty with the media, but ill take my chances with the guy who helped us win a title and is at his best when it matters most. Thank God they resigned him and did it before the season

did nobody watch the game? jokic was whooped physically by sabonis. the kings offense is disgustingly disorganized and yet they came back from down 20+ and nearly won.

Any chance Russ takes starting PG Spot with Murray at SG and have CB come off the bench? Then Nuggets could look for another point guard that could play better with Saric or trade for another back up center

Hey Jason love the pod! I don’t want to overreact to the NBA cup final but do you worry at all about OKC’s offensive creation at the HIGHEST levels? I know SGA is a killer but we still haven’t seen him do it at the absolute highest levels. Also do you think a team with an awesome but still improving J Dub as their second best offensive creator can win 4 games against the absolute best defenses in the NBA? (Boston, Cleveland, Dallas). Wondering if they need another year or two. Thanks and keep up the great work!

Russ is getting better every game. I was sceptical at furst, bc he was still looking for his own shot too much and his shooting will never be above average (being generous), but he creates so many easy buckets for jokic. If he can just dont shot too much, but keep the intensity on defense, and keep the 2man witj jokic going, he is a massive +
what does Mr. Timpf have to say about Darvin Ham and his 'horrific coaching'? "he's only an assistant coach" — what does he have to say about the comparative embarrassing over celebrating when they won the 'Cup' last year…whereas MEN who know this silly sideshow is not the prize, eschewed champagne and are focused on a real championship.

Murray always starts slow, and finishes stronger (besides last year). After Xmas— Murray and Nuggets will go on a run and will be atop the West by the end of the year!
