I love the NBA, but this tournament is ridiculous. I don’t know a single person that thinks this tournament is a good idea.
And all the different ideas the NBA has come up for the All-Star game is an embarrassment. It’s like a three-year-old isn’t making the decision decisions for the NBA.
I would not have popped the champagne bottle open. But I definitely would have drunk a few 🍺 beers. Trophy's 🏆 and Hats was way too much and very unnecessary. Stephan Curry can stay but Diddy Party Lebron James should go. He ruined the NBA Game and Brand more than any other NBA Player. Trying to help him rise above Air Jordan didn't work for the NBA. Lebron James is a Lower Fifty Player, not a Top 10. Jordan earned every basketball point and championship when he played because the Stars and Defense was was stacked in the 90,s era.

NBA gets big money from Dubai for this tournament. Adam Silver being a member of a certain tribe has no problem selling out the integrity of the game for money. The result is teams running up scores when bench players could be getting game experience in blowouts and viewers having to look at those ugly basketball courts. Nobody cares about the tournament. I doubt fans would pay any extra to attend one of the tournament games and are glad when it is over.
Has the “NBA CUP” winners increased viewership? Not by me! I stopped watching over 14 years ago, the nba is unwatchable by real true BB fans! What a bogus idea! Fire the nba commissioner now.

in my country we also have state championship and a state cup championship but almost always the cup is won by a title favorite or by the champions.. so the cup is a pretty good thing here.. ahahahahahhahahaha

An in season tournament, different themed courts, city uniforms, it’s a a misdirection to get people to not focus on the poor play on the court. It’s like putting lipstick on a pig.
Too much credit given for this. Last year everyone was on the Lakers' ass for celebrating or even hanging that banner, Bucks now simply avoiding that smoke, but you can watch their reactions after the game, they were proud and happy af. Good for them, but lets not act like they invented the wheel.
It is not a title, it is not a championship.. it is a tournament cup. It's a good concept and makes thing interesting for fans and teams. Not sure why you guys are shitting on it.

They had to make the in-season tournament to get these players to play harder in their regular season because they don't buy hard to begin with. They run upon down the court. Checking up the 50 3s a game scored 100-110

the in season tourney was a creation of bron and silver to let bron add something they thought would be important to bron's 'legacy' but really makes them both look weak and stupid. The calls were blatantly in favor of the lakers, getting a ton more free throws than any other team. They also gave the mvp to bron when it was clear to everyone that davis was the best player. Every year they keep that tourney in place will further erode support and fanship for the nba.

Man they really are trying to make this something. I didn't watch any of it, but saw the commercials. They had Emirates as the main sponsor. Do fans actually care??? If my hometown Pistons were to win it, I'd hear about it, say well good for them, and forget about it.
