I am encouraged by Klay Thompson’s play as of late. If we can get Luka and Kyrie healthy with Klay playing this way the Mavs are hard to beat.
That lack of envy and energy, at home and after a long break to rest is kind of weird… a bit worried about Luka's heel. But let's face it : Zubac is our cryptonite.
No Star duo and against the Mavs Zubac becomes Kareem. That's okay, brush it off and onto the next.
A win obviously would've been great for the season, but a loss like this helps a potential Luka MVP case.
Lively is not going to get stronger unless he bulks up. That's the only way to build up his strength. Imagine mavs running to denver in playoffs? Gaff and Lively are going to get wrecked.
This was a automatic loss the minute they announced Luka and Kyrie were both out. Can't keep losing games they should and would win with everybody in. No one wants the 4-6 seed. This Dallas team is good enough to beat anyone and damn sure be a #1 or #2 seed. Time to restart a nice long run here and make a push for the top of the standings.
How come no one ever mentioned clippers didnt have kawhi, too, and were playing at home?
It's almost as if Jason Kidd has literally no offensive system or plan other than having 2 of the best offensive players in the league……….
Not feeling discouraged at all. We were missing Luka, Kyrie, Hardy and Exum, so we had basically zero guard presence. And also, Klay played well. We're fine.

Zubac and Myles Turner is our daddy for some reason..😂😂. But the team played with ZERO energy. Once Kai and Luka were out, I knew it was over. Anyone miss Hardy as he is the only bench player ( except now Marshall) that can actually get to the rim consistently?

The Magic were missing basically their top 3 best players and still kept it close with the #1 SEEE OKC THUNDER. This was unacceptable against the Clippers

Why are our 2 best players sitting on 3 days rest and only playing 1 game in 7 days? Bruised heel? The greats play through minor injuries. It takes dedication and desire to win a championship which the Mavs are lacking

Still wondering why Powell is kept out, even if it’s just to mix it up, we were being bullied last night.
Why doesn't Lively learn to take those free outside shots on the high post?
Once lively started fouling back to back, that really ruined the offense. They started looking slow and sloppy because they kept stopping the game. He was making a lot of mistakes so this will be his learning lesson game.
The loss is just a sacrificial tryout that was willing to experiment the bench with schemes both defensively or in offense

We lost because of rebounding(Clips-47,Mavs-40) and points in the paint(Clips-54,Mavs-34).
That's concerning as no way shoould this happen with 2 of our "weakest" defenders not playing.
Lively got abused by Zubac and Gafford looked lost out there with from the jump with no guards setting him up on the attack.
Mavs missed Luka's rebounding/passing and Kyrie's ability to attack the basket and pass to the bigs.
The main issue tho is Lively is slumping these past 3 games and he needs to step it up. He had 3 blks but that means nothing when Zubac had 15 rebounds to himself.
Maxi played and once again was a non-factor. Spencer did good. Klay's been hot these past 4 games. Bottom line is the Mavs need to be healthy to build continuity especially between Luka and Klay. Naji was back and hopefully stays. Hopefully they bounce back in the next game.
