Brooklyn Nets beat the Raptors. Cam Johnson goes for 33 points and these wins “matter”

The Brooklyn Nets went into Toronto to play the Raptors in a game that could matter when it comes to lottery odds later in the season. Toronto was missing RJ Barrett and Jakob Poeltl, but it didn’t matter. The Nets shot 23% from three, but it didn’t matter. The Nets still won the game.

Cameron Johnson was excellent with 33 points on 9-15 from the field and 4-10 from three. Noah Clowney played 37 minutes off the bench after Nic Claxton was ejected. It was a wild game and could be confusing for some fans about what to root for this season.

    With Jordi Fernandez as a coach and players like Cam Thomas Cam Johnson Jalen Wilson Noah Clowney and a boatload of picks, considering players do want to come here I don't think there is a need to tank. What are NBA players going to think about Jordi if he can get them to playoffs. New Orleans thought Zion was the answer and look at them now. If you can win you have to win.

    I think its one thing if we win because Clowney or even Cam Thomas but we won that game last night because of Cam Johnson. We delaying the inevitable by not trading CJ and DFS but we are are also costing us loses that can and prob will shoot us in the foot come lotto time.  

    I don't want to be the nets of 2019, a team of good players picked in the middle of the first round who with the right coach will put us in the play-in for years to come. Last year the spurs had only their young guys playing big mins the got Castle, the year before they did the same thing ( traded Poetl) and got Wemby

    I think Ben Simmons value is going up as well. But I think we should trade for Ben for Zion and a FRP and a 2nd. Sit Zion and go into the tank, then we’d get 2 FRP back for CJ. We’d be sitting pretty in the bottom 5.
    Zion is a star and he’s proven it imo, still young just not healthy.

    On a high level.

    It's time to consider trading Nic Claxton. He has missed six games due to injuries and three for being ejected, totaling nine out of 27. This means he's only been available for 60% of the games this season. It's clear he hasn't fully bought into the team's camaraderie or pride, and it feels like he's becoming deadweight. His struggles with emotional control aren't a good fit for the team dynamic either. One bad apple can spoil the bunch, and we must protect the team's morale. Nic actions reflect poorly on the coach as if he has no control.

    The NETS winning games this year is with a doubt the most SHOCKING development in the NBA!!!!!!
    Unfortunately last night they played a team(the Raps) that understands the assignment!! Why can't the team just pull aside Simmons,Cam Johnson and DFS and tell them that they are engaged in active trade talks concerning them…We are going to shut them down until the deals are finalized!!!! Someone please explain that to me!!!! DFS and Simmons are ABSOLUTLEY not going to be here next year! Tell them that you are going to play the youngsters instead. DON'T UNDERSTAND why we traded to get back our own pick and aren't doing everything possible to LOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We don't have a STUD to build around!!!!
