The ratings are down because the NBA and ESPN still act like Lebron and Steph are top 5 players and they haven't been for a number of years. Still excellent players making big contributions, but they're not in that top 5 conversation. Jokic, Doncic, Giannis, and Shai need a lot more of a push. ANT got way more of a push than them and the T-Wolves are struggling without KAT.

If you wonder why NBA and NBA media is so bad at marketing this is the clearest example. They only push and promote the same 3 old players as if they’re still the best in the game, when in reality, neither of them are even top 10 anymore. It’s a shame and so unfair to the actual better and more exciting players like Wemby, Cade, SGA, Giannis, Jokic, LaMelo, Sengun, etc.
NFL does a fantastic job promoting their stars across the entire league. Not just the guys who play in big markets or storied franchises. NFL has an abundance of household names that casual fans can gravitate to. Not just 3-5 players like the NBA.
