The fact that people actually want them to hate each other is exactly what's wrong with this world. I don't have to hate you to want to beat you. Reverse psychology works on most people because they are incapable of forming their own thoughts, opinions, and conclusions. From the youngest league on up to college, they train and condition athletes to shake hands and say good game after a win or loss. Now it's a problem because they are in the pros. Simple minds are so easily swayed.
