Typical Miami Heat treatment of their stars. There is no difference in the way that Portland treated Dame except that Dame was eventually traded. I believe that Jimmy wants out but is trying to be respectful and do it quietly behind the scenes. Instead of trading him before the deadline, they will hold him hostage for the rest of the season.

I’m just ready for all this to be over. Because ultimately all this is continually showing this isn’t a championship contending team. With the most that will come out of this year is some playoff tickets being sold. Who would’ve thought 5 years ago that the Panthers would be the best position franchise in South FL sports. The Phins and Heat needs to get there shit together and get out of mediocrity.

I’m honestly glad we have some level headed folks running the show vs these emotional fans. Jimmy has gotten boat loads of money from the Heat but giving him a raise to play less and be less available on a more frequent basis is crazy.
So basically you are telling us what the Heat want us to believe. Just think the Heat are in a no win situation. If you believe Jimmy will opt out that $50M you just do not get this new NBA. Players do not walk away from money any more. They get their money and request a trade or get a buy out. Heat will end up loosing every day that passes his value will be less. Imagine a $50M injured jimmy sent home in 2025-2026. This is what is coming.
I would’ve said the Heat aren’t trading Jimmy because there are no packages worth it… but the Heat also traded an expiring contract in Lowry & a first round pick for Terry Rozier… so anything is possible
