I've said this before. At the beginning of the previous season, the Warriors could have traded Klay Thompson's expiring and Jonathan Kuminga to Philly for James Harden. The latter would have fit in well with Steph but they didn't show much interest in Harden.
As good as Jimmy Butler is, him and Draymond on the same team is a disaster waiting to happen.
Jimmy Butler would be the worst move for the Warriors. He’s very prickly and does not get along with teammates, his injury prone, he’s 35 years old playing with a bunch of other 35-year-old or older-and he’s never won anything anywhere. I’d say Vucevic or Jacob Poetl. Do a one on one trade with Kuminga going somewhere where he will be allowed to play
As a Warriors fan that watches all the games, it really doesn't matter who the Warriors trade for unless that person is a PF that plays like Iggy or Otto Porter. Kerr is dead set on the motion offense and the small ball lineup. Draymond and Steph are also fine with that system because that system is to always look for Steph and everything else is a backup plan. Kuminga is a slasher. Just look at how Kuminga plays vs how Kerr wants him to play and how he speaks of him during the press conferences. Everyone else is considered a role player even when KD was on the team. You bring in Dennis Schroder and they don't run any pick and rolls which he is known for. Even when the Warriors had CP3, they barely ran any pick n rolls. Also, if the warriors bring in a star, Wiggins would have to be traded who is the Warriors best defender. It will literally be a wash because you are just trading defense for offense.

Warriors fan here: Steph is aging and its pretty obvious hes not what he used to be. Trading young guys for a 30+ year old "star" would be an awful mistake. Nobody who's available would make the warriors real contenders. If the Lakers want to blow it up and trade AD, sure send the whole house. That's just not gonna happen.

The only salvation for the Warriors is to fire Kerr and promote Terry Stott. Trade Kuminga, Podz and Dennis for a shooting center like Myles Turner. Butler is not a fit.

I don't think the Warriors can pull a rabbit (MAGIC) out of the hat now. Their defense is bad and playing small lineups makes it worse. They aren't that young and other teams don't FEAR them now either. So, getting into the play-in and a first round exit is their ceiling.
If you add Vucevic it’d be a big mistake making any other move involving Wiggins and Kuminga. With Vuc’s spacing I could easily see both wings at nearly 20pts a night. They’ve never played with a stretch big of Vuc’s caliber, the paint would be wide open for once. Steph, Wiggins, Kuminga, Dray, Vuc is a legit starting 5….defense might be another question, but they’d definitely be one of the best offenses in the league.
