The Trail Blazers rode the youngster, not the vets, to a last-second win over the Utah Jazz. Scoot balled out. Deni Avdija was very good. Shaedon Sharpe was awesome. And the Blazers won a game coached by Nate Bjorkgren. It was a quite an experiment.

    Mike…sorry man. ZERO chance that Scoo is ever in that spot with Billups. Billups would have taken the timeout, reset the game and Ant or Grant gets the last shot. Wouldn't matter if Ant had been 0-18. Billups is pleying to prove he can coach vets for his next contract.

    I am sorry about Billups grandmother. But I am just so tired of watching Billups waste the kids. Last night with Billups, Scoot likely plays his usual 26 minutes. Ant would have gotten 32 to 34 minutes. Deni would have gotten 24 or 25. Sharpe would have been ok. But Ant and and Grant would have gotten shots up and more minutes. A lot more for Grant. It is just who Billups is.

    Blazers need to make sure Scott Sharpe Donavon all get Quality minutes. I like seeing Kris Murray and Ruport needs minutes as well.

    Deni should be the talk of the game. Not scoot. Deni was wide open when scoot drove. I’m glad that scoot FINALLY had a good game.

    Yeah… sometimes I am down on Scoot but last night I think I noticed that he clearly needs some runway to understand if he can really be a good/great point guard. I love Ant but it is time to trade him

    I do love Billups as a player and person, he is a HOFer, but….I think it is obvious that his ability to coach is not there yet. I know the Blazers do not want to win games but if you want people to continue to come/watch games, it would be worthwhile considering thanking Chauncey for services as let him and us move on.

    Another back handed compliment toward scoot, you couldn't describe the winning play without mentioning the failed play before… also strong right hand is unnecessary you've used it as a slight for 2yrs now especially when it's a game winner. You seem usiually negative im wondering if you would speak about unc basketball the same way???

    With the game tied, a little easier to go for the win without a timeout. If they were down by one, I'm guessing timeout for sure. Scoot was good all night, mostly, so getting the ball down the stretch was not that hard a choice to make, especially with Simons sucking big time. Deni was our biggest weapon, putting pressure on the defense with his relentless drives and getting huge rebounds. Ayton was solid, but man does he suck in the 4th quarter. Sharpe is looking better almost every game now. Go Blazers.
