I think the decision to fire Mike Brown was justified. How it was done, not so much but it was the right decision.
If you look at Mike Brown's other coaching stints and why he got fired it was because he lost the locker room and the players were tired of how he was coaching. No different here.
Is Vlade still running the Kings? If so…. That's your biggest problem.
Problem was not the coach. The GM and ownership is the issue.
Brown is not a good HC.
I was not in favor of him getting that extension. At that time I said, "If you are really that good of a coach, get the team in contention for at least a western conference finals at the midway point then demand a lot of money." Asking for that contract extension when you didn't even make the playoffs sounds like insecurity to me that he cannot get the job done. If I am the owner, I would fire him as well. It's like I am paying big money to Sabonis, Fox, signed Monk to a new contract, extended Brown and for what? A 13 – 18 record with very, very embarrassing losses and a pathetic crew? Geez, I would fire f&**ing everyone!
Mike Brown is trash. Why would you keep a coach who is getting worse results with a better roster? As a Warriors/Kings fan, this Kings team reminds me a lot of the Warriors with Mark Jackson. You could see tons of potential but poor coaching led to inconsistency and disappointment. All they needed was the right coach to put them over, this Kings team will be the same. This roster is a championship contender with the right coach and Brown aint it. This was a huge step in the right direction. Kings need to write Steve Kerr a blank check this offseason, especially if Steph and/or Draymond retire.
God this organization is trash. We shouldn’t even be surprised by anything at this point.

Doug Christie is going to be the next fall guy. The one fired at the end of the season because they want a different head coach. Regardless of how well or how bad he coaches.
I think Kings fans are pissed because the firing absolutely makes 0 sense. Vivek and Monte are the main culprit for their incompetence of not bolstering the roster to compete for a playoff spot. Players need to be held accountable for not paying attention to details and bricking wide of 3s. So, with all that said, Monte better be trading Fox ASAP for his arrogance and demeanor towards the team and organization. As a former kings fan I can say this is the worst most cowardly thing I've seen from the kings since the "Magoofs"… things are going to get much worse for the Kings and Vivek deserves all of the downturn that is coming. Mike Brown didn't deserve this, and I hope he finds a team and franchise the appreciates his abilities. I was still a Kings fan even after the recent 5 game losing streak, which is more than I can say for the owners ( who don't recognize there are bad lows when developing a team that has literally been patched together recently) This is the last straw man… F that beam and only L's for the current ownership. It's unbelievable how an incompetent coach is being defended. Did not make the playoffs last year, yet asked for a contract extension last summer for a double whammy, started the season 13 – 18 for triple whammy…what happened to the buck stops here? The owner should fire everyone – gm/vp/coaches…
I think it was a good move to fire MB because it's sending a message- don't win don't come back. The players are to win. The coaching doesn't mean anything without winning. Where is the basketball IQ? Figure it out.

Long story short we're just not performing like expected great roster we have a lot of talented players but we just can't find that signature game plan and consistency. Adjustments were needed to be made during these games like zone defense and less shooting and attacking the rim. Instead of subs and rotating players. All in all it wasn't going to happen over night league changes every year. Mike isn't the blame but definitely need to turn up our strategy on the floor. Let's go Kings!!!

The front office should take the brunt of the responsibility for the downfall of the Kings for putting together that sorry band of 2nd rate players. For example: IMHO, Keegan Murry is not a starter, and should be coming off the bench. Murry has no game, and fooled everyone when he first came to the league by knocking down a bunch of uncontested 3 pointers. But, that was before the rest of the league scouted Murry and left him wide open to take his, slow wind-up, 3 pointer, set-shot . However, once the league started to play some defense on Murry, his 3 point makes declined dramatically. We won't even talk about other scrub, rejects from other teams, second-rate players like, Kevin Huerter and Malik Monk, LOL!!!!
Goodbye Kings revival. Farewell De’Aaron Fox. It was fun while it lasted.
