11th in PPG – they had 112.2 PPG over the last 5 games, 0.9 PPG better than their season average
2 ind FTM – 3rd in season
5th in blocks – exactly 1 BPG more than season average and its all because of the one game with 10 blocks vs Kings.
4th in fouls – they actually 3rd for the season
11th in TS% – 0.4% better than season average
All those minor stat increases are due to 2 factors: Lebron and opponents
Since "the break" Lebron is playing defense. Lakers are 22nd in defensive rating for the season, but 8th over the last 5 games. It all comes down to Lebron doing his part.
Also, they had one decent opponent in the Grizzlies, the rest were all lottery teams. Yes, including GSW who are on a 3/14 run.
I love the optimism but what the lakers lack is consistency and a center 🙂
