stop placing Sochan on 5
I hate the weird 9 man rotation he's playing. Bassey/Mamu/Wesley completely frozen out so we can play small all the time? That's not how the Spurs play basketball
Use your reserved center and PF MFr!!!!!! (Bassey/mamu)
Please play Mamu or Bassey! We need rebounds
Idi0t coach not giving time to Bassey or Mamu- good thing spurs facing weaker brooklyn nets but how about this coming game like wolves ? TF his doing!!
why the slow start? because you had vassell starting
casuals in the comment whining about Mitch and rotations.. all while we won our 16th game.
Last year we went 22-60. We‘re 16-15 now.
They gotta ask why there's so little focus at attacking the rim. Right now Spurs are 20th in 2 point scoring, 24th in PITP scoring and 22nd in fastbreak scoring.
If they aren't hitting 3's then they're not scoring. Period. Anytime they go up a team with defensive wings that can get up on screens and switch well then Spurs really struggle to fall back onto an easier/less volatile shot. Wemby needs a hook/push shot, he should not be trying to take fallaway jumpers 8ft from the rim with his length, he only has made 1 hook shot all season. Wth.
Vassell has 17% of his possessions that end at the rim, half the rate of other SGs in the league. He is contested on a higher percentage of his jumpshots because he's doesn't have a quick enough first step to get open.
CP3 makes sense why he cant get to rim with enough volume to make a difference, he's old it makes sense and he's doing better than expected elsewhere.
Sochan gets force fed at the rim and thats fine
Spurs need to double their rate at attacking the rim. Get teams into foul trouble early and open up the floor. You can't have your big man playing generational defence every night while having to carry the full offensive load, its not right, his body will break down sooner than later given people his heights history. Trade for a player because you cant wait 2-3 years for another draft pick to develop into a competent offensive player, Wemby is ready to go to the playoffs now. Capitalise.
whingey Spurs fan signing out. lol.
Can't you see, they are eating/mocking CP3 at the defensive end, they were finding him and attacking him helplessly, we are just lucky that Wemby, Champagnie and Sochan were hot…
Castle scored better 6pts with solid defence than CP3 5pts and lousy defence…
You are a coach, you should know it…
GoSpursGo 👽 💪 💯
everyone should just chill and let the coach experiment on some plays. last year, everyone was calling jeremy sochan to be traded. look where he's at now, running the floor so well on both sides of the court. sometimes we need to give up a few games in order to make the players better in the long run. don't just call for them to be traded just because they are not playing well for some stretches.
from what i see, this is an experiment on seeing how well the wing boys can hold up. 'scramble mode' if you may. switch everything on both sides of the floor. the sequence of 2 steals in a row is a glimpse of how good they can be when they all running.
Coach why don't you play a center at center when wemby's on the bench? We loose are preilerer defense with sochan at 5…. C'mon it can't be worst to play bassey 5….
He was wondering what I eat for dinner during the games.
Terrible coach
I think we found our successor to coach pop he has done a great job with this group
people in the comments trying to coach the coach lmao, all those "trade every young player and picks we have for a star to play with wemby" casuals that know ball only from playing 2K
wanna throw my hat into ring for armchair predictions… Spurs can very well make playing but could be one of last years to get a decent-ish pick in what looks like a loaded draft class. Wins are not a priority even if org wants development and improvement so they are "soft tanking" by tinkering with weird lineups. very interesting time in season.
"…We've gotten healthy and we're trying some things out." Then he goes on to explain it. I appreciate Mitch's openness.
