This is the same franchise that refused to draft Luka Doncic, has had 6 coaches in 10 years, has one playoff appearance (from Mike Brown) in the last 15 years, and now fires its COTY coach 1 1/2 yrs later. Great franchise
DeMar signing is the obviously reason for the Keegan's and Huerter struggling and the team as a whole but they scapegoated Mike Brown whos only mistake was not starting Keon Ellis but Kings fans know this, but if they want to seriously contend for Fox's prime years they need to trads Sabonis with his value being sky high rn. Sabonis at C cant help Kings contend with his putrid defense and not being able to space the floor which he is capable of doing( shot 40% on 1-2 attempts last season and can shoot 35-37% on 4-5 attempts easy but doesnt. They can trade Domas to Utah for John Collins (3&D wing/small ball 5 shooting 50/40/90 rn) Walker Kessler (young rim protector) and Collin Sexton (efficient shot creator who play with 110% high intensity effort every night) along with 2 (non Utah) 1st rd picks and they are good. Trade DeMar 2 seconds for Kuzma (more realistic trade) or big shot trade DeMar Huerter 2 1st and 2nd rd picks for Cam Johnson and DFS and Kings basketball is back. Fox, Ellis, Kuzma/CJ, Keegan and Kessler with Sexton, Monk, DFS and John Collins is a major improvement.
this franchise is a mess no matter who owns it. i was happy for them 2 seasons ago and thought maybe they'd be back to being a decent team but i was wrong. reminds me of the 1996 team. they were a one hit wonder too before they had a complete overhaul and then made the playoff for 8 straight seasons. they even won the 2002 nba title, oh wait, they handed that one to shaq and the fakers.
I’ve been saying it for a while but sabonis and Giannis would be great together. Sabonis is a good passer with an all around offensive game and Giannis could make up for him defensively
They messed up not trading for Siakam for cheap, he’s a perfect fit beside Sabonis (big forward who can protect the rim and switch) who wouldn’t mess up the flow of the offense + doesn’t clash positions with the Keon/Monk (+Keegan assuming he isn’t the one who gets traded)

Once they traded for Demar I knew it was just a matter of time before they blew it up. Trading fox to the rockets is a first good step.
