How To Destroy A Team After Finally Finding Success

How To Destroy A Team After Finally Finding Success

Mike Brown got fired. Remember when everyone was so excited for the Sacramento Kings to finally be good? The “light the beam” chants could be heard across the golden state, and it looked like the Kings were finally back. Except…a few years later, they’ve fell back to irrelevance. What happened?

I make all kinds of NBA videos which include analysis, player stories, countdowns, and mysteries. Make sure to leave a like and subscribe if you enjoyed this video!

  1. The Kings pull a Tennessee Titan on Mike Brown. Something about the Mike's in professional sports? 🤔

  2. Getting rid of Haliburton was one of the biggest bollock trades I’ve ever seen. Ok, he’s struggling now, so what? He loved Sacramento. It’s like if Minnesota would trade away KAT for Julius Randle. Oh, wait…

  3. One of my best friends is a Kings fan. He was so happy they made the playoffs 2 years ago, he spent thousands on the 1st 2 playoff home games. Now he doesn’t even watch them again. As a Knicks fan, I understand, but keep the faith! No need for a full rebuild!

  4. This is either a very good thing for the Kings or the worst thing that happened to them. We shall wait and see.

[if you don’t want to read, skip this comment] People will say “he took them to the playoffs.” Yes, that team was probably the best team kings had during that drought. People who don’t watch the kings don’t realize how bad his rotations were. I’ll name a few examples. He took away Davion Mitchell [one of the best defenders] from game 7; the receipt that gave warriors a hell of a run. Alex Len is a great big body and good shot blocker/rebounder but doesn’t get playing time; he puts up solid production (warriors series and vs jokic two examples), and we know Saboner isn’t a true center that is why the team struggles against bigger teams. Heurter and Colby jones over Keon Ellis, like forreal? Keon is sitting almost at the back of the bench while heurter still having nightmares ever since that 3 point contest. Don’t get me started with Colby jones.

It’s not only MB that is the problem, but the entire team and Vivek as well. Team has no heart and gives up so many leads that may be a Guinness world record.

  5. Kings or Minnesota could have been a video too lol both teams who have been a disaster for decades the minute they get potential their management blows it up

  6. Im a huge fan of Sabonis; I collect his cards, etc. He’s so good; and should be on a good team. That team has damn near a big three, there’s no reason they shouldn’t be a top half of the league team, at a minimum. It’s gotta be the coaching and system. But, some better role players wouldn’t hurt. I figured the big three could at least carry them to a few games over .500 by themselves at least, if they were on top of their games and utilized right. Hopefully Sabonis gets to play on a great team soon.

  7. Ellis is a great shooter what are you talking about!? dude shoots 42 % from the three for his career

  8. DeMar is a great guy. With that said, he's not a great guy teams should have. He's essentially Carmelo light with a better attitude. He's a 20 point scorer year in and year out but his efficiency is average at best. He lack great defensive motivations and because of his back to the basket iso play style, his teammates lack touches and thus looks uninterested at times. Everyone who's played basketball knows when you get involved on the offensive end, you'll try that bit harder everywhere else. Simply swinging the ball to you on the perimeter so you can swing it back will motivate you on the other end. So when you go 5 positions without a touch…well, that's playing with DeRozan.

  9. De'Aaron Fox is the reason that team blew up [aside from just stinking it up in his last game]. Ownership fired the coach for the sake of a player who doesn't even wanna be there.

  10. Mike Brown is the best legit con man. gets hired, talks up the players one year, gets accolades, then fades. not sure why that is. but Cleveland x2, Lakers, Kings. Weird.
Now he gettin paid millions for next 3 years no work. enjoy the beach, mike

  11. I've been a kings fan my whole life. It was so rewarding seeing the team make the playoffs for the first time since I was in kindergarden (I was a senior in college in 2022-23) and should've advanced at least to the second round that year imo. But that magic is completely gone. I don't know what to do as far as the roster goes because blowing it up and being a rebuilding team for at least another 3 years is not acceptable for me after so many losing seasons and blown draft picks. But also being a fringe play-in team isn't good enough for me either. I want sustained success of at least 4-5 years of consistently making the postseason and advancing deeper and deeper. Maybe someday make the finals or win the whole thing. I may be an extreme optimist but I saw that potential with this core of players 2 years ago, even last year, but now I've lost faith and don't know if the team will ever match or surpass the level of the early 2000s.

  12. If Demar played in the 90’s he would fit perfect. But in todays game he slow the pace and when shooters get to shoot it’s late shot clock and a close defender because he doesn’t create for other. They shoulda saw from the raptors u can’t win with him

  13. Kings fans saying it’s not Mike browns fault don’t know anything mike brown been killing the locker room

  14. 6:20 if six teams were the best offense in NBA history that really says that the defense in the NBA has stopped or didn't progress as fast as offenses

  15. A team being this bad, this consistently, over this length of time can only mean one thing … the problem is management.

No coach or star player can make the Kings a winning team if the front office and GM refuse to pull their head out of their ass

  16. kings are so bad now, Sabonis was 10-0 vs AD coming into this season, and i just watched the lakers beat the kings after mike brown was fired and now is 0-4 vs AD this season.

  17. After they blew game 7 at home against the Warriors it was all downhill from that point on. Plus, Sabonis got exposed and he's soft.

  18. Luckily demar didn't sign in the Lakers. Lakers dodge a bullet in that part or it will be a disaster like westbrick again😅

  19. It also doesn’t help that the Kings play in a small market in Sacramento but still have to pay Californian taxes making it harder sign free agents

  20. Derozan killed Kings….who the fuck though its good idea get player that do gives team nothing if he don't have the ball….

  21. Signing a guy who doesn't shoot threes or play defense is certainly a choice when your 2 best players dont shoot threes or play defense.
