Ring culture is a thing because there is no franchise loyalty anymore. Jimmy won’t be remembered as a high tier Heat icon because he will be remembered for his time in Chicago. Look at Brandon Jennings to Bucks fans he’s. Cult icon to that franchise. It’s sad but true
LeBron haters and ring culture ruined basketball
It’s not “ring culture” that’s the problem. Ring culture was always there it’s the standard for sports and casual sports fans. Those who win the championship are more solidified than those who aren’t. The problem is the decentralization of local NBA fans. For example Carmelo Anthony, never won a ring and had 2 great season with the New York Knicks, but he is solidified within the Knicks culture and praised by there fan base. Knicks are one of the only few teams left with a centralized fan base and culture. A lot of “Heat” fans were LeBron fans that stuck around and so online fans are speaking from a POV where they are used to seeing those chips and the heat winning. Online people are fans from anywhere so the sentiment isn’t the same cause they don’t get to see local games the same. But in NY the Knicks are the team everyone watches MSG net. And so the fans have a different connection to their players more align to the old days. That’s why without the same success plays like Marbury, and Nate Rob, Melo, Felton, Novak still get the same love

Please talk about the mike brown firing. It breaks my heart to see a man who worked so hard with this group of players and took the kings to their first playoff series in years, get fired by people who didn’t give him enough of the tools to succeed. I love DeRozan to the kings but he is not what we needed on this roster and when we lose Fox whether that be at the trade deadline or in the offseason it is gonna be the board’s fault, Not Mike Brown’s.

This's what happens when both sides are both stubborn as hell. On a scale of 1/10 here's their stubbornness ratings: Jimmy=10; Pat Riley….11+. Riley comes off as the most intractable old dude around. He basically lost his patience after Bernie Lee blew his lid all over Shams (Bernie infamous for always being most obnoxious on social media, didn't disappoint AT ALL in this case lol) and Jimmy's hair colors hinting at stuff, Jimmy's vague comments, mysterious absences.
Pat Riley definitely failed to build a team around Jimmy. He practically had the same team for both finals run. He was too complacent
The Jimmy Butler in Miami will be memorable simply because of the two NBA Finals trips, but I understand why people are saying those series were underwhelming. In neither one of those Finals did the Miami Heat look like they had even a 50% shot at winning. By Game 4 of both series they were already on the brink of elimination, so people are going to give him credit for winning the east but not really much for how his team performed in both of those Finals.
But yea overall the "Playoff Jimmy" legacy will be good for representing his time in Miami whenever it does officially come to an end.

Who cares .. dude plays one game and takes off 5 games.. he is not the Jimmy butler of 4 years ago .. I know he thinks he is the man , but if he goes to any team that he is anything higher than the 3rd or even 4th option it will be essentially a push . I know I don’t want him anywhere near my team .

Amazing video! As a longtime Heat fan I agree with you! Butler has been amazing with the Heat! To all the “fans” of the Heat saying it wasn’t successful with him being here. That is a bunch of bullshit man go watch the tape where he’s literally carrying the team on his back! If Jimmy does truly want out as an organization and as a fan we have to respect that decision and thank him for what he’s done to this team.
