We need start thinking about winning now and it's not just about if you like him as a person. He is inconsistent and I think we should for someone else we are 9th seed and we have a chance for playoffs.
Vassell scoring went down because he have more players on the team sochan scoring went up now, vassell can’t do what he done last year because they gotten better this year 🤦🏾♂️
I’m going to give him until the end of January to see what improves. He needs consistent time playing without being injured. Every year he got time to play. He got better and better and better as time went along. Look at the last few games he played last season, not bad.
Vassell will be a great 3rd option when Fox comes. Vassell only 24 he will get better still. A big time scorer would free up vassell for more 3’s. Also he’s coming back from injury, give him more time
Vassell is better when he come of the bench
His rhythm is off because he can never be consistent with being healthy… That’s the main thing that scares me. Him being hurt makes me wonder if it’s even worth it to keep him at times. I feel the more he’s hurt the less trade value he has but man when he’s healthy and consistently playing he finds his spots well and helps us big time. Him being gone right now will be too soon to say but like you said it’s been a big worry lately with him
Told you all. After putting his focus to Keldon, Vassell would be next. And that's what's starting to happen right now. It will be more obvious next season.
Why should they trade him? He is great but he comes from a major injury. Give him time. It is OK that he has some bad games. I don't think that we make a big move now because we are no a big move away to be a winning time. We are fine. Give all the young players time to develop.
I think there are injuries we are not aware of, he just doesn’t look the same this year I say give him this year if he doesn’t get back to consistent scoring then look to trade him

Lol castle is nothing compared to vassell. You know why castle and sochan plays better with wemby? Because they played longer this season with wemby. Calm down with trades. Last 2 losses are champagnie and sochan's fault respectively and still its vassell on the hot seat. Vassell is playing defence this past few games while sochan is taking more points. I'm betting they're experimenting on the line up like why wemby takes 16 3s on one game.

Devin is fine, we just need to give him time to adjust. He'll be back to his old self quickly. He is worth the wait.
We tend to forget that Vassell did not do summer camp, he's not used to playing with the new leadership, CP, Barnes, the new way the Spurs play. Mans hasn't even started 10 games yet.

Consistently inconsistent, injury prone, frustratingly passive for the highest paid Spur. He's turning to be a better Lonnie Walker. He's supposed to be the #2 to Wemby but Jeremy is the 2nd most consistent Spur this season. He disappears on big tougher teams. But he's on hist 4th-5th year already. If many calling out KJ (5th yr in league), why give Devin the pass? He need to be professional show up every night as what CP3 called out. The "because theyre young" should stop. Just compare him against his peers. Troubling quite disappointing still hopeful he turn things around, seems all mental for him.. Look at DJ and DWhite, how they elevated their games, I hope he figure things out soon catch up to Wembys timeline or else…
I consider this whole season a chance for the spurs to figure out the roster outside of Wemby. Who’s gonna work? Who isn’t? Who’s a starter? I think Devin’s going to work as a starter but we’ve got the rest of the season to see. Hopefully he can stay healthy and productive. We know Wemby needs spacing.
This summer the Spurs should chase very aggressively Alexander-Walker. Minnesota will have troubles to give him a decent contract because of their financial situation.
This dude is a shooting guard with 49.8% overall, 43.2% at 3 and a very good defender. The perfect 3&D player who could take the position of sixth man for the Spurs !!

Shooting slumps happen. I think he’s been trying to impact the game in other ways at least while he’s in his slump. Also if you notice, a lot of his shots aren’t as many catch and shoots recently. He’s been driving to the basket a lot and he’s always struggled there so I’m not worried yet!
Castle became the 2nd man for our team vassell would be part of a dangerous unit coming off the bench with kj,tj,and hb.. mamu needs to play more along with bassey they’ve earned it

Weve lost about 7 games by 5pts or less. 4 games between 12pts-9pts…. winnable games but we love bricking the 3 and have starters scoring 10pts or less. We need offense bad
For all you guys defending Vassell, let me break it down for you….
* He misses games often.
* He’s in his 5th year and has never posted a 20 ppg season on crappy bottom-feeder teams.
* He misses bunnies around the rim..A LOT
* He’s terrible at creating his own shot
* He’s average, at best, on defense.
* He loses confidence quickly…no dog in Devin.
* His game hasn’t made any progress since the beginning of year 3.
Does that sound like the “#2 option” for a superstar like Wemby?
He’s not the answer. Put Castle in, and I swear he’ll he a better player than Devin by the end of the year….if not the all- star break. Unlike Vassell, Castle has that dog in him, he’s a true slasher, and his confidence doesn’t go up and down with every shot he makes or misses.
Time to unload Vassell (while he still has value) in a trade package for something better, or move him to the bench.
I believe in vassell, really. i just think he is best suited off the bench. I think he could be an amazing Lou william/Manu and just be a pure bucket getter off the bench

Not enough games have past to warrant this concern. He’s played 16 games this season, 6 of which he started. He’s still has to adjust to Paul, Barnes, and Castle, let alone getting back into game shape (and from a more human perspective, it’s holiday season). We can talk about this again end of January, but right now this looks like your average slump. The same thing Victor went through at the start of the year.
Also, I missed it but I want to watch the Brooklyn game because Vassell shooting 4/16 is actually promising from a mentality perspective. You don’t typically see games like that from him because when his shot isn’t falling, he gets passive. Devin staying aggressive through the slump is what we’ve wanted to see this whole time. Let’s hold off on the alarm bells
