If you were not happy with Mike Brown in the off season…the delay in giving him an extension…then why wait to fire him after Christmas. If the front office and Mike weren’t on the same page, don’t give an extension. Now the team nationally looks like a circus. At least have the decency to fire the coach in person, not on the phone as he is traveling to the airport. If have been a fan since they arrived in Sacramento, and this is just embarrassing and bush league stuff 😞
If the team doesn’t make the playoffs after this firing, then we seriously have to look at ownership as the problem, and the thing blocking this team from true success.

Mike Malone said it best, in his press conference! Everyone should listen to it! Vivek and the organization is a joke and we lost any respect we had left in the nba! We won’t win anything, as long as Vivek makes the decision’s! You put Doug as a coach, what a joke! I liked him as a player but you can’t make anyone a coach. Doug was like the 3rd or 4th down the line as assistant. He must be a 😘 a@&! I won’t be purchasing any games the rest of the season. I feel fans that purchased tickets already and have to attend should boo or not attend at all. Let Vivek see a empty arena! I’ll keep that couple grand in my pocket that I spend on tickets. I’m done. Nothing has changed in this organization and nothing will.

MB wouldnt be fired without Vivek and Monte consulting Fox and his agent who just recently visited them demanding changes. Fox's answer about MB's guaranteed contract just highlights what's always been on his mind, it's all about the money

I love Domas. He's my favorite player on the team, and he may not be that leader that we need right now, but he's getting there and he consistently takes accountability and responsibly.
I love Fox too, but dang, I hate the fact that I feel like he's slowly quitting on the club more and more.
Fox seems happy about it. guess we'll see how it goes. I haven't seen Fox put real effort in in quite a few games. Maybe MB actually lost the locker room and it was time for a change.

I feel like the 'guilt' question is being misinterpreted. i think they meant it as like feeling guilty that the TEAM underperforming cost the coach his job, not one player, one game, or one play. I don't think Fox had anything to do with Brown being fired and don't think it's what he wanted, but it really kind of breaks my heart to have the feeling that he has started to be checked out and looking elsewhere and this doesn't help one bit.

Good luck finding a better coach long term than Brown. Colossal mistake. Losing a glue guy like Harrison Barnes is at the root of their problems defensively too.
