The Timberwolves Are a Disaster… What Now?

The Timberwolves Are a Disaster… What Now?

The Timberwolves were finally looking like contenders… until the Julius Randle trade ruined everything. In this video, we break down how Minnesota went from thriving to disaster, why Randle’s fit with the team has been a disaster, and how this move derailed Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards. Can they recover, or did this trade destroy their season? Let’s talk about the mess in Minnesota.

  1. They never solved their PG problem. In 2024 Mike Conley is not a starter. And Randle is another story in itself.

  2. I thought these players are soooooo good offensively than previous generations? How come they can't get to the rim without their bigs unclogging it for them??? Make that make sense

  3. Wanna know what’s going on? They’ve just won 3 in a row. That’s what’s going on. You’re the one that’s cooked

  4. Nobody is ever in the paint!! Four people in the paint?? Haven’t seen that for 20+ years. He wants to throw up the three ball like the rest of the league. True basketball is done. They should rename it Three Ball and move on. The rules don’t matter, the fundamentals don’t exist, you don’t need a dominant center cuz they just sit out guarding the other big guy at the three point arc, the officials are a joke (particularly if you breathe on a Laker), the all-star game is ridiculously stupid, and the commissioner has let this game fall apart like it has. It’s a shooters game now. Nothing more.

  5. everybody talking about how NYK got the Towns, but the most important thing that NYK got from that trade is they got rid of Randle

  6. You know nba fans have no logical reasoning when they were justifying the KAT trade up until about like 2 weeks ago.

I kept seeing videos talking about how badly the wolves are performing, and idk if they were wolves fans or KAT haters, but they kept on saying it wasn’t a big deal that he was traded.

No it clearly was a big deal, they’ve messed up one season considering they are in their contending phase. Plus they bounce back with a trade or two? Yeah probably, but what if they don’t? What if they don’t get a trade?

They made a massive mistake considering they needed to add things rather than trade and mix it up.

Seriously, the hater mindset nba fans have is so crazy, it’s probably fueled by people who don’t even watch KAT or the wolves yet they are yapping like they are nba analyst gods.

Wolves trade away key piece, they become shit, you don’t need any more information.

Seriously is it just me or are nba fans competing with football/soccer fans as the dumbest low iq fanbases? It’s embarrassing to say you’re a fan of sports when there’s a majority of dumbasses who somehow always top tweet replies, or top comment sections and etc with their nonsense.

Stop embarrassing me since you lot don’t have logical reasoning. Or any reasoning tbh.

  7. How can you possibly be a serious commentary channel and go "oh he's ass" and just completely ignoring the new role Divo is pushed into

  8. Randle is not the problem for the timberwolves. An efficient 20/7/4 from your second option means that your second option is not the problem. There are other problems.

First and most importantly, there is a black hole at point guard. Mike Conley is washed and trying to force Divo into the backup 1 role is the reason why he's been so inefficient. He's a great off guard, but you cannot consistently run your offense through him. Even in this modern, less positionally rigid nba, you still need a couple of point men who you can consistently trust to run the offense. It doesn't need to be a guard necessarily, look at Jokic, Lebron, etc, but neither Ant or Randle are that kind of player. Ant is a very traditional shooting guard and Randle is a good scoring power forward. That's fine, so long as you have a competant role player at the 1, but Minnesota simply does not have that, and that puts a ceiling on their offense.

Second of all, the other role players just cannot knock down shots consistently. Conley? Washed. Divincenzo? Playing out of position. Naz Reid? Looks like last year's percentages were a fluke. McDaniels? 10 points on 43/30/70. NAW is shooting well from three but on less than two attempts per game. And we all know Rudy's offensive limitations. You simply cannot expect to have a good offense when only two players are having good offensive seasons, and you can't blame one of those guys for the offensive struggles. What Minnesota needs are two actual point guards, one to start and one to come off the bench, neither of whom has to be a star, but who can get everyone involved in the offense and knock down threes. Then a proper 3 and D guy, emphasis on the 3, to put at small forward. Then you have to start your 1, Ant at the 2, the 3 and D small forward, Randle, and Rudy, with the backup 1, Divo as the backup shooting wing NOT point guard, and Naz Reid off the bench, and that's a contending 8 man rotation.

  9. Imagine having your best season in 20 years than changing your franchise cornerstone player for the past decade just to save money , this is why losers keep on losing ….

  10. I never heard Michael Jordan say "I can't drive to the rim." Never heard Kobe say that either. But Ant is saying that in an era with soft af defense and the best spacing that's ever existed in the NBA? What a clown this dude is.

  11. Julius randle is a traffic cone on defense and a black hole on offense. he's like if lebron and michael porter jr. had a child.

  12. Let us not forget that the Knicks play in the bubble bath Eastern conference. It’s like the B division. Not to mention he is in a big market so gets all the attention now. Both are big negatives about the NBA.

  13. Everyone wins the literal day or day after vids like these drop. Shows u that all the sheep are on the same wavelength. Which is great for bettors like me.😅

  14. Nah that kat trade makes absolutely 0 sense for the wolves only for the knicks lol

  15. Let's just accept not all team will be a champion every year. Stop comparing and complaining. Hopefully Knicks hopefully will win the chip this season.
