This may have been their worst game of the year. Of all the games with Poeltl playing, this was the 1st one that they looked terrible. Crap defensive effort and generally poor body language and morale all around.
The pleasant tank has left the building.
Where are all the people who are like "PoElTl iS oUr DeFeNsIve AnChOr" "WiThOuT hIm OuR dEfeNcE sUcKs" LOL we just gave up 136 to a mid Atlanta team while Poeltl was -25 on the floor. I don't want to hear that bs ever again.

If this team is really about max development for all the young guys, nobody should be playing over 30 minutes. In fact, why not go 25 minutes for the starters, and use the extra minutes to play more of the bench for longer stretches during the games? When they're losing by 30 points or more, what on earth are they doing leaving the starters on the floor? And as for overall development, when did they forget about defence? If guys keep making stupid turnovers on terrible passes, wouldn't that be a good time to sit a guy, and play someone that isn't getting playing time? It's the in-game adjustments, strategic use of timeouts and challenges, and some questionable floor lineups that have me questioning the coaching. If they keep repeating the same mistakes and don't make necessary corrections, aren't they actually coaching the development of bad habits?
Can anyone answer me what the point is of Garrett Temple getting any playing time? That is clearly tank city in the worst way.

How can the media get it so wrong? I swear, two days ago I read that Bruce Brown had played his last game for the Raptors and now here he is back in the lineup? What am I missing here? Is the media that uninformed?

Thirty-One turnovers! Wow, I wonder if Darko makes it to the end of the season. Losing is one thing ,but player development still has to go in the right direction!
@ben rogers basically you wanted to believe in an unrealistic scenario where raptors were actually good but losing close games. the reality is teams were playing sloppy or were playing with their food to play hard for 1 quarter to beat the raptors in the begining of season. where now teams are focused and honed in on defence and playing complete full games to win for playoffs.
selling high on jakob poeltl is probably the best thing now as we saw a jakob poeltl centric offence still leads to losses, and a jakob poeltl with less usage still leads to ugly losses. its better to trade jakob and draft a center if the future is what the raptors are really about. as we saw tonight jakob in the game really didnt make a difference against a mid team focused in like a hawks team. against top teams focused in, it would be even a bigger blow out.
Brown, Boucher, and maybe Olynk could net some draft capital or young talent. Maybe an expiring contract. It makes no sense to try win and barely miss the play in only to get a mid draft pick in the teens. All the losses will be for not. I know it sucks losing but it's a stepping stone to the rebuild through the draft. And give the young guys more play time. Mogbo and Dick need to be logging in heavy minutes.
Not sure about Barnes playing point. He can’t dribble very well. I feel he should run down the court and establish his position and run the offense from there 🤷🏽♂️
