Victor didn’t say anything scathing about the Knicks. He basically said that the Spurs are not there yet and made mistakes. This was not some blow out win. That’s all he was saying and that’s fair. This is being blown out of proportion as click bait and we all fell for it.

Let me break it down…..
The Spurs’ game plan is not a winning formula. IMHO, they’re grossly misusing Wembanyama. When you look at the stats, this is what you see with him at 7’5”:
42Pts but only 51.6% shooting.
18 rebounds total but only 2 offensive.
Only 4 free throws.
Only a +7 net during his time on the floor.
Yes, he can shoot 3 pointers but so what? Teams are happy to let him do so! It takes him away from the basket and it results in less fouls. He’s not going to get a foul prone player like KAT into trouble and he becomes much less of a threat on the offensive board!
It’s just not winning basketball and it’s reflected in their record.

If the spurs would have won the game the hold narrative have changed how Wemby puts on a great performance in the Garden on Christmas day and he did but facts still remain the Knicks won Adam Sliver and the N.B.A . got what they wanted by show casing the further face of the league.. imagine that 😊

I have no problem with what he said and was actually surprised by "headline"… Close games are good for the fans and the NBA. Since last year when Jalen Brunson dropped 61 against the Spurs, Wemby has wanted revenge, so he circled the date. Problem is, the Knicks also circled the date. Wemby came up short. He wanted to drop 60+. Instead he scored 42 and Mikal Bridges pretty much matched him with 41 for the Knicks. The Spurs lost. Losing is something the Spurs do quite often. They are a 500 team The Knicks showed class and grit. They won. End of story. Except Wemby likes to cry.
