The Louisville Cardinals escaped the Yum Center with a 78-76 win over Eastern Kentucky thanks to heroics by Noan Waterman who ended a chaotic sequence in the final seconds with a tough driving layup that gave the Cards a lead with just over 1 second remaining. Terrence Edwards Jr. had a superb 1st half of the game, scoring 17 of his team-high 20 points before halftime. J’Vonne Hadley added 15 points and Chucky Hepburn chipped in 14 points while Waterman and Reyne Smith each scored 12 points for Pat Kelsey’s team.
