Who could've guessed that trading all of your depth for an injury prone, aging 3rd "star" who provides a redundant skillset to your other stars wouldn't work out. Truly noone could have seen this coming.
Trading the farm for KD… I'm okay with it. Trading for Beal, huge huge mistake. Literally plays the same position as Booker,; why bring him in at all? Beal's been a loser on losing teams his entire career. Never gonna win with Beal on your roster

Everything changed when they traded for Beal. I am a Suns fan and that was the strangest thing to read the day it happened. Even Beal said "who they trading, Book?" when he first heard about it from his agent. Because the fit makes no sense. And we went all in for that… The team though still actually can be very good if health suddenly turns around, they find a way to upgrade the center, and Booker figures it out. He has been noticeably worse this year and is a huge reason they are losing. Not sure if people who don't watch the Suns a lot know.
You can‘t have 2 mediocre or bad guards defensively in the modern nba. Imo thats more important than scoring right now. You need someone to defend the perimeter in the clutch or you get cooked. Stretch bigs are less important than to have a defensively good guard. And it doesn‘t work to put a SF on the guards because that makes your guard defend a mismatch SF in return. That‘s also why miami isn‘t contending with their depth and 3 all-stars. Rozier/herro/robinson don‘t fit on the same court

KD and Booker make a good duo. KD and Beal are bad. Actually Beal in any combination on this team

my issue wasnt even them trying to make an all star big 3 it was that they tried to make an all star big 3 with players that didnt compliment each other. the warriors with kd worked because the play styles of everyone fit so well they didint dominate just because of talent but fit

He was mid 30s, injury prone, cost a fortune, the acquisition drained their assets in a brutal fashion. The only way he could have been more off the timeline of what they were is if he were retired.

What people miss about the Chris Paul trade is that no one wanted him. The warriors let him walk for nothing. Beal was the only player they could get. I would rather have Beal than nothing but yeah the suns do suck tho 😂
Been a Suns fan all my life, and as of right now I would rather watch the post Nash 2010s rebuild teams than the current roster 😭. Hopefully they figure it out
Trading for a third option who makes $50 mil with a no trade clause was always foolish. Especially when said third option is just a worse version of your #1 & #2 option… SMH
