When Boston won the title by such convincing fashion the Beatrice changed from we finally did it, to back to back. In recent memory, both the bucks and the nuggets looked primed to be the favorite following dominant runs. Both failed to even make the ECF/WCF.
Winning two in a row is tough. So many variables go into how a season plays out. In the Celtics case I’ll say this. I think that the team has regressed. I think the ceiling of this team is lower than that of last year. That being said I still think Bostons ceiling is better than anybody’s. Here is what I believe needs fixing.
1.Health- Every starter has missed games. Holiday although sluggish to start the year is a huge hole in this team right now. Porzingus just needs to play when he is ready. They know what they got when they traded for him🤷.
2. Team Defense- it’s not even a salty fan perspective but teams have been fairly luck against Boston. The shooting numbers, TOs, blocks, forced fouls should all regress to the mean.
Mazulla- it starts with him.
What better to get a team back on track than a challenging road trip. Just what the doctor ordered. Hope 2025 is a solid year for both of you guys John & Tom🙏🏻☘️🔒
