DLines’s take on PWat 100% spot on. He doesn’t know how his body moves or the physical limitations he has (good and bad). Also, he plays so damn hard, you wish he would find ways to make the game easier for himself on both sides. He wears his emotions on sleep for better or worse, but you know he wants to be a reason why the nuggets win. Maybe he needs one more offseason in the weight room cause he gets pushed around a ton and that comment about dipping the ball so low is so accurate. Needs to quicken that 3 point shot up to make it more consistent. He is the key if the nuggets get to the WCF ( which would be a successful season imo)
We came to this point where wins against Detroit,Jazz or Pelicans are celebrated like some achievement and again pushing aside the fact that Jamal is ass . Consequences for Jamal playing slow and bad will be Joker being tired when playoff starts . Jamal without Joker will not be enough past the first round. Dude was -20 with his average % and usual average to bad defence.
Peyton Watson needs to learn how to get in the screener's hip in order to effectively navigate thru screens in order not to force Jokic to help and be in too high and far from the paint.
Jamals slow starts…sorry guys but he can start slow on scoring but there is other things that he can do for his team and he does NOT doing it!!! He is doing nothing for his team is what he does on 50 games per year… Would I keep that kind of a player in my team…a player who is lost for the most of the season!? Fuck NO! Murray is improving, no doubt. Some of the shots he missed were ones he would normally make rather than heroball nonsense. He is moving a bit better. That said, it's consistency that is needed – you want 15 games in a row with this energy.

Super short rotation, playing with completely washed Jordan, Porter with horrible defense, not playing Hunter, Hall, Šarić etc. Malone is super rigid. He does same stuff like before. He will tire up Jokic, Murray and Porter before playoff 🙄
Malone plays like he's afraid of getting fired. The man squeezed rotation, narrowed the rotation to a minimum. He's not thinking about the playoffs at all. It is only important for him to finish the regular season in 3-5 place in order not to be fired.
Positive takeaways from the last two games:
Jamal and Nikola are giving extra on defense. It's true that they will never be Tayshaun Prince and Ben Wallace, but in the last two games they are putting in extra effort.
Murray is playing SMART. He shoots and passes the ball when the game calls for it. Most of his points are after easy shots and he has minimized the heroball plays enormously. If he always played like this, without letting his ego take control of him, he could average +20 points and +10 assists per game with good shooting percentages. If he had a normal shooting day today, considering that they weren't crazy shots, he could have scored 28 points and given 10 assists with good percentages. I think this is the way to go.
Negative takeaways from the last two games:
Julian Strawther is unplayable. He's totally transparent on defense. He should average +20 points per game to compensate for his zero contribution on defense.
Everything MPJ gives you on offense doesn't make up for his weak defense either. On offense he's a good spot-up shooter who has improved his reading of the game and is good at rebounding offensively, but he's incapable of handling the ball and dribbling. On defense he's a cone, especially playing small forward, having to defend the perimeter.
I think it's clear that Denver just needs to improve its defense to be a contender. To do that, I'd try to give MPJ + Strawther + Šarić/Nnanji + 2nd Round for De'Andre Hunter + Dyson Daniels and, if possible, Bogdan Bogdanović. With this we would greatly improve our perimeter defense and three-point shooting: Westbrook – Murray – Hunter – Gordon – Jokić / Bogdanović – Daniels – Braun – Watson – Jordan / Pickett – Tyson.

Jamal is afraid of failure .If he gives his all at start of season and it doesn't produce results , it's obvious to everyone he is not all star. The cowardly way he does it is he gives himself an out (excuse) if he doesn't perform. He is not an all star, never will be now that he is slow .He is very talented offensively but selfish,hero ball ,bad defender ,no box out and overpaid (not his fault for last one,but that's the reason for energy problems in the team)

Murray starting slow is an excuse from him, nothing more. “No big deal guys, I start slow”. Absolutely ridiculous excuse. Legs alluded to it but was being kind; what player wouldn’t want to start fast out the gate. Mal clearly is the one who doesn’t care enough about basketball & who cares more about off court stuff like MMA. Fine, but stop w the excuses. The front office should have NEVER rewarded this dude early w a max contract. I’m still daily amazed at the incompetence of Booth.
