  1. If anyone disagrees with what Draymond actual intentions were in the remarks he made, you really don't understand the full scope of the situation.

First, the play was intended for Buddy to come hard (pause) off the Draymond screen, in which he trotted instead of running. (Steph is running full speed in that scenario).

Secondly, Buddy actually had an opportunity to just shoot the once Steph passed it to him because his defender, Tyus Jones, was late recovering from the Draymond screen. That would most likely have been a 3-shot foul. He also could have driven left for a floater or drew Kuminga's defender and lobbed it to Kuminga.

Instead he throws that lazy pass to Draymond which gets tipped by the smallest guy on the court. (Notice the commentators say "Draymond saved that turnover")

Then he just stands there, appearing to be unaware of the shot clock instead of going back to the ball. (As a shooter is supposed to do)

Now granted, Draymond could have passed left to Kuminga for an uncontested 3, but Buddy was absolutely at fault for this dead play. The lazy play usually ends like this.

There are reasons Buddy got ship from Sac, Indy, and Philly, when those teams actually needed shooters. They probably didn't want to deal with the lazy effort plays. He started well in each of those destinations but was eventually out of the rotations at pivotal times in the seasons.

Now we know the rookie season trade from New Orleans was a no-brainer to land Boogie, but Buddy wasn't great there either. That was the perfect situation for him to become one of the top shooters in league.

Draymond may be a bit overboard in his language but definitely on point in his intentions.

Just watch the entire play again.

  2. While Dray certainly should school and encourage his junior teammates privately, he of all people should be mindful that some grace is required when it comes to public scolding. It's not like Dray hit set the league ablaze with stellar play in his early NBA days. It actually took him a while to grow into in his glue guy and enforcer roles with the Warriors!!!

  3. For the love of God, get rid of Draymond, dude has been washed since 2019.. all he does is yell, punch teammates, grab players and podcats

  4. “I’ll sit down then” -Hield while thinking Draymond gotta be the most overrated player in history 😂

  5. Dray great leaders don’t try to correct after they done fucked up, do better, so others won’t need to express their stupid ideas towards you. Passion at some point is no longer the reason for who is the man.

  6. NBA is getting bad and warriors i hope you win next time and to me its the refs and let’s go warriors

  7. Nah, green was definitely wrong now that I see the full play instead of a short clip 😂

If he nailed that shot guarantee he ain’t putting his teammate down. Turnovers happen.
