This probably doesn’t turn out well for the Kings. Doesn’t really make sense to fire a coach half way through a season when he’s a more than capable coach. Any new coach is probably just going to come in and do little to mess with what the team is running until at least the off season, so why not just wait until the offseason?
The kings are a mess. I suppose this is a signal that they’re potentially also going to trade away fox and commit to a rebuild, because they’re likely going to continue to be at the bottom in the standings after something like this.
This goes to show why kings will never win a championship or why they have were in a playoff drought for the longest time. Horrible owner and front office.
They probably did it cause Fox complained, or they were afraid Fox would walk because of Brown's comments. In other news, Brown can now pocket the rest of his salary and go to some other trashheap, get paid twice, turn them into a playoff squad and win coach of the year again. So silver linings.
Would love to hire him back as the Warrior’s assistant coach with the intent of crowning him head coach next year when both Kerr & Curry’s contracts are up.
