Valenchunas is not a strong defensive player, but he can score in the low post if given the opportunity. He isn't easily pushed around either. Just look at him ! Watching last night he was very chummy and laughing with Knick players. Almost as if he, and they, knew something.

Absolutely agree Chris , I’ve always loved the thought of richards signing with us especially since his value is worth more for such a “cheap” contract . Both richards and champagnie can fit into specific rolls to utilize their best skills with us . Im definitely a fan of both. Richards being our main center would average double doubles easy. Champagnie in a shamet roll can easily give us 12 ppg 5 rebounds 5 assist off the bench mind you !

I hope we get the opportunity to see the return of Mitchell Robinson before the trade deadline because when he's healthy he's both an elite rim protector and offensive rebounder who could move our needle in the direction it needs to move for us to seriously compete with Cleveland, OKC and Boston for a Chip.

They need a version of Mitch that stays healthy. When he comes back, they're going to be lethal. Scoring is not their problem, it's the rebounds and defense. You can bring him off the bench or slide Hart to 6th man and KAT to the 4. Unfortunately, Mitch doesn't seem to stay healthy

He's solid but I only see this as a decent depth move to reduce burning out Kat in the regular season. Once the playoffs come Jonas will be useless. I'm considering Mitchell Robinson's career to be over in New York .. He's just not skilled enough or ever been in good enough shape to battle these injuries to be useful for what this team needs.
