This is a reality check on where the Lakers stand in the league. Let's forget the nonsense about competing for a title. Even with adding a center, this team is still a border line Play Ins/Play Offs.

It is just a bad night for Rui. He'll be back. As for the defence, it is still situational, but with DFS. Lakers can get better. The problem people have with Rui's rebounds baffles me, like as if, they dont watch the games at all. For one, avg 5.5 rebounds is already great considering almost everyone on their team tries to get rebound. There is that White Boi, AR, too. The guy is taking the next leap. He just had 9 rebounds in this game.
Rui get prepared to be the new fall guy. Jj needs blame for his rotations and no defense.

I would’ve preferred Rob pelinka to have at least tried to trade Gabe and JHS for hornets Tre Mann and Josh green who’s having a career year shooting the three ball he’s 24 and is an actual wing. Then at least we have wing depth instead of Finney smith who everyone is glazing but played no wing minutes and is a Forward/Small ball 5. He’s not a bad player but not a guy the lakers should target cause you’ve gotta pay him past his prime. Robert Todd Pelinka Jnr you can still make this trade and at least get some youthful depth. Tre Mann and Josh Green feels like actual help Rob Shake Milton and DFS feels like a Slap in the face

What is Lakers fans obsession with Rui? The trepidation with which Trevor speaks of Rui at the beginning of this is odd. Rui is not a good player. IQ is atrocious, awful hands, zero defensive awareness, no motor on defense, and inconsistent shot making. AGAIN – what is the RUI fascination? Sincere question for those who think he is good.

Why do we never talk about how bad the bench is? Got out scored by 20, and they only lost by 10. The real problem with this Lakers team is lack of depth. Our starting 5 is as good as any in the league
AD allowed Allen, Mitchell and Garland to score in the post without attempting to block their shots. Then on the offensive end AD settled for perimeter shots instead of higher efficient post/midrange looks. 🤔Am I bugging or did anyone else noticed it? I wonder is AD hurt physically (history of injuries) or mentally (because of the DLo trade)? Something seemed Strangely off tonight.
