Never cared for Westbrook. But its fantastic to see his change in attitude and hustle.
Westbrook should absolutely not be starting OVER Christian Braun…. Braun has been AWESOME – he has the 2nd best net +/- on the squad by a country mile, behind only Jokic. Don't get me wrong, I'm loving what I'm seeing from Westbrook. But that does not necessarily mean he should be starting… Let them figure it out.

Malone should explain why his team sucks so bad when Jokic is out. It was his responsibility to build a contending team which he didnt do. Maybe a time for Denver to look for another coach. That vame against Detroit was horrible even tho they won in the end. Utah also, terrible game where Jokic once again had to save Denver and have crazy numbers…

As a fan of the Nuggets for years, I feel like I'm being gaslit.
Listen, I love Westbrook. One of my favorite players of all time. But all these videos saying he's a god send to the team are wild to me. It strikes me as everyone has only watched the highlights of this team.
No one seems to mention how often the offense gets clogged up because of his postioning or the extremely strange decisions he makes. And it's not uncommon. He throws the ball away to nowhere a lot where the team then has to scramble to recover. And no one mentions how often he sits at the top of the key with the ball, running down 8-10 seconds of the clock with basically no movement.
Im not saying Russ is bad. I just am baffled how everyone seems to think he makes us incredible when about 50% of the time, he actively hurts our possesions with everything I said before plus being a non threat on the 3 point line when Jok pentrates and draws defenders.

Folks forget when OKC went to the Finals, Russ was the only one who didn't fold to the Heat. Durant, Harden and Ibaka were basically all shell shocked, but Westbrook wasn't. I'm not sure why folks act like he's some kind of bum.
Listen up: Last season, Denver was one game away from the semifinals. If it was Denver vs. Dallas, I think Denver would have won. It may have been a 6-7 game series, but Denver would have won. In the Finals, they would have killed the Celtics, especially Jokic. This year, the only reason they're average is because Porter and Murray are just not consistent at all, Denver's defense is nothing without Russ. Jokic ain't losing if he gets to the Finals this year, or any other year, believe me.
