Happy New Year, and thanks for the blessings, I don't like any of those mock trades, I do like Claxton and Cam Johnson from the Nets for Capela and Bogie, that's all you need, you get can nice backup point guard from the G League, they're plenty that just need a chance, and with some of those trades you have to ɓe careful about what your doing to your bench, team continuity and chemistry, getting used to playing with new players can take some time. The Hawks beat the Cavs twice, both teams have similar talent, but the Cavs are being coached so much better. 🤔✌️
I don’t want to give up okongwu tho, I want to start him. Capela is older, he doesn’t move quite like he used to and the range is not there. But with that, he’s also not tall enough or beefy enough to bump with the best bigs in the league. Like, jokic did him dirty last night with minimal effort. If anything, we should expect to have nance get some minutes at the 4, start big O and trade for a young 7 footer to back him up and add defense
2 things I dislike about trade rumors. 1. None of it really considers chemistry which is way more important than people believe. 2. 99% of trades rumors are always about helping the other team, and we get the castaways.
I would love to get Deuce McBride but we need to keep Capela for the remainder of the season and let him walk. Capela's salary will be used to help pay Jalen's new deal. Jalen goes drom 4.5 million to 30 million next season.
