First I wish a speedy recovery for Ivey, Second this was and will alway be a reckless play and in my opinion Cole should be suspended a few games!
They don’t allow this in football so how is it allowed in basketball? Third I blame coaches for this..they want players diving on the floor- putting your body at risk for fake hustle plays and this is what it leads to; a guy like Ivey possibly being sidelined for a year with a torn MCL, ACL, Ankle who knows!!!
As someone who has had 3 knee surgeries, Cole Anthony is a fucking idiot. This is some BS I would expect at a park, but the fact he is a pro is very concerning. Regardless of intention, this deserves some kind of suspension.
New diagnosis: broken left fibula. Brutal 6/8 weeks minimum
Doc will show replay of an injury like this, but not a compound-fracture! Gotta cater to those hypersensitive weaklings out there amongst the rabble!

I didn't see what the team doctors did to Ivey on the court after the injury, like what they were most focused on. My immediate concern after watching this video was his left knee. I hope he didn't injure his ankle and knee. Edit: just saw another video of it, and Ivey was definitely holding his ankle after the injury occurred.
Cole dirty for that, this is not football, he clearly sled into Jaden leg on purpose. That's foul play, Cole should be fined and suspended.
Damn he got it wrong, it was a broken fibula not a an ankle fracture.

no one focuses on his knee – first time I have seen it I thought that it was his knee that is going to be dislocated / fractured. any possibility that it is messed up as well – can this be career ending injury?

not the first time that kinda injury happens. loose 50/50 and players diving. every time I see a dive to the ball for possible jump ball decision I wonder why it goes well that often.
BUT: you simply can't control that. players are pumped up, wanna Winn, are fast, just wanna get the ball. that's sports. and that's why they earn enough even if the players career should end.
Anthony had no chance of getting a ball, so he threw his body at Jalen. He was getting beat in every way by Jaden the whole game. I don't think he intentionally tried to do a career ending injury to him but he definitely used his body as a weapon to knock him off course. In my opinion it was a real dirty play by Anthony. I don't want nothing like this to happen to anybody but I will never want to see Anthony win anything in the league like Karl Malone. Let him be marked because it's going to be very hard for Jalen to have his explosiveness ever again. 😭😭😭
