3 critical things need to occur short term. 1. Quickly acquire a starting quality 2 way long athletic 3 & D forward. 2. Move DeRozan to the bench to improve bench scoring. 3. Change how the Kings guard the 3. The third requirement is the most important. By primarily focusing on improving the 3-point differential, that will really help as far as winning games. Long term, build more depth to improve on ball defense and rim protection. I say I would start now looking for a new GM and I would say if the front office does not make any meaningful improvements, they need to go right after the deadline. This will give a new GM time to get acclimated and see what they have before the offseason.
What? Wow man this team and the owner are delusional…lol Young man looking into the history of your craft may help you to contribute and expand on it.. without humbleness, willing to learn, and being resilient, the basicis of building an asset is impossible…..
Is DC already a better HC than Brown? Keon made a mistake in the first minute of the game against the Mavs. If it were Mike, Keon is getting benched and wouldn't have seen minutes again until the 4th quarter, OR none at all! But DC? He's a player coach and respects his guys and believes in them. DC leaves Keon in and then he starts playing like a stud. Basketball is all about confidence and Mike Brown was detrimental to these guys' confidence.
They get paid so well they don't even have to know the recent history of their own team. You'd think the organization would have taught Keon Ellis who Doug Christie is.
For the record, Doug was a lock down defender…
Mike Brown saw this man’s potential and gave him a shot . I don’t think a lot of coaches would do that !
I think Keon would be a great fit as a starter . Because he would be a defender . Like Doug was . Doug wasn’t a scorer and we had Bobby on the bench who was a great scorer . But as for the team overall is better when you have different roles . Not the same type of player at every position
