  1. The most impressive part of Kessler this year has been setting better screens and attacking the rim harder and faster when he tries to score down low. He's been better about catching and keeping the ball up high, but still needs to improve quite a bit there

  2. Kessler can defend 5 out just fine if he has a secondary rim protector and teammates that aren't ball watchers that can't correctly diagnose a pre-switch

  3. The ratings are down because way too much of the NBA is behind a paywall, they don't market as well as the NFL and don't have an off day dedicated to the sport. It's simple metrics lol

  4. My thoughts on an Ingram (similar type player) trade:

1: it allows the Jazz to keep tanking as Ingram hasn’t proven to be a player who can carry a team to a lot of W’s but having him allows the Jazz to instantly pivot to a win focused team if a star becomes available & would go to Utah.

    2. Teams have to have salaries in all the pay ranges to be able to make trades. Having Ingram would be a salary and player the Jazz could use WHEN the time is right to trade in a package for a superstar.

I can see the value in trading for Ingram if he would sign an extension. Trading for him would not be a win now move in and of itself.

  5. Open 3's and dunks are more efficient but mid range and posts up is more entertaining cus the shots look more difficult and creative

  6. view from European perspective: the nba game was and is unwatchable, because of all those commercial time outs. i trtied to watch full game in the finals and god help me turned off in mid 2nd quarter. much prefer condensed game from nba com .
oh yes, and second point, tv ratings means nothing when the stream is the king

  7. It's not yet time to bring in vets like Ingram unless they're dirt cheap.

On Kessler, it's interesting that the Jazz moved Rudy with the perception that his flaws were exposed in the playoffs. Wouldn't Walker have the same flaws? Probably not the long term piece.
