  1. There ain’t no chip without holiday simple u will never hear any slender from me the guy shifted the Celtics to a championship mentality he was the trade that put us over the top KP was cool but holiday I was like we winning it

  2. What’s true and genuine is defense… the Celtics won last year off of defense. Yea they broke the record in the most offense efficiency in NBA history but they won once again because of their defense. Winning vs the rockets who have one of the best defenses in the league was huge.. no JB but insane.

  3. Also with KP… it is really unfortunate, we can’t say for one second that the Celtics went 64-18 without him. He is the and was the player we needed to go out us over the top. Last year in the playoffs whoever wants to say how it was… the Celtics got to the finals through and injured ECF, the reason why I don’t buy into “it was and easy playoff conference” was because KP was out 90% of it. The truth of the matter is when the Celtics are fully healthy and playing the brand of basketball they play, they are extremely hard to beat.

  4. I prefer Joe to Ime. I actually still don't think Joe gets enough credit for what he's done growing this teams mental reliability and overall attitude. To say they wouldn't have won with Ime though is incorrect. They would've absolutely won with Ime, probably a year earlier. Ime is an enforcer, whereas Joe teaches self discipline and (without saying it) survival instinct more effectively which has a greater impact long term and therefore should be appreciated on another level.

An unrecognised aspect of Joe is that he's low-key "one of the boys" and so he is loved and respected by the players. Ime is a great communicator (as is Joe with people who matter to him) but he seems to have a pretty constant drill sergeant vibe and Sherrod is correct in saying that he's the Mark Jackson of this teams success. That being said, I think the way he was released from the franchise shows a level of arrogance in him that becomes ones downfall and you can't have that in your leader.

Finally, I think Joe is the epitome of practising what you preach and following through with your word and I think that's reflected in the opportunity the end of the bench guys are given, even sometimes early in games. He's great at keeping the team protected from outside noise and if I was running a franchise there is no other way I'd want my head coach to behave. Joe should lean in even further to the coach he naturally is because it's entirely positive and naturally who he is. He does not get enough credit.

  5. Anthony Edwards sitting in that leather chair with the nice dark woodwork behind him makes me jealous. He doesn't even work in an office and his relax space is nicer than my work space.

  6. I just got a fun idea with the Tatum and Edwards comparisons. Imagine if instead of all star weekend they instead did mix up week. What I mean is if they had the top 2 players on every team switch teams at random and play a few matchups. We could see Tatum play for the bulls or Edwards for the pelicans and so on. I just think that would go a long way to showing what guys are just good because of their system and give other fans a chance to cheer for players they don't normally. The games wouldn't count, but I just think it would be really a fun week with a lot of people tuning in.
