In terms of the comparison thatās a 5-10 spot swing not 2 spot. That s why it was so egregious.

1. most ppl thought ant was barely top 10 at best at the time of the rankingā¦which jason now agrees w. The diff between ant 2 spots ahead of Tatum to being 4/5 spots behind Tatum is a 6/7 spot difference that we had an issue with.
2. jason started this beef way before the player rankings. Obv jason knows this bc he referenced his viral ant > jt rant he made during the playoffs. The energy heās receiving rn is abt more than ā2 spotsā n he knows this
3. In the player rankings he said guys are close within each tier but he put ant in the āperennial mvp candidate tierā a whole tier above Tatum not just 2 spots
I could give a bunch of examples but The ant v jt comp is nasty generally, bc of how Jason has talked abt their upside. With ant itās always been that heās on track to be the best in the world one day. W jt jason says a lot abt what jt canāt be. N thatās despite jt being more accomplished (team and individually) than ant even at the same age.

If you zoomed out it was easy to see Tatum was a better shooter than he was given credit for in the rankings. Also extremely obvious ant wasnāt the 5th best player in the world bc he hadnāt played at the level consistently ever in his career.
