  1. The problem we have right now is bigs. Lively and PJ are the best frontcourt duo we have, but the rest of the guys don’t seem consistent enough as they are.

Maxi is becoming more unplayable on offense and is too afraid to shoot, and his consistent defense isn’t enough to save the Mavs from deficits when he can’t shoot.

Gafford also looks like he’s getting burned out on the floor on both offense and defense and I don’t know about other Mavs fans but I love Gafford since he did play a role to get the Mavs to the finals, but hasn’t fulfilled a more defensive role as of now. I don’t know if it’s time to pull the plug and trade him for someone better but he needs to figure it out.

Also is it possible to trade Hardy? I know he has trade value and he’s young so teams are gonna wanna take a guy like that but can they actually trade him even after they extended his contract before the season started?

And is Omar worth trading? I do love he’s getting more minutes but is it really enough? It all seems too difficult to know and try to understand right now when we’re in a slump right now with injuries killing us

Whatever happens, whether Nico needs to pull the plug on on something not working, he gonna drag us out the mud again. I really hope we make a trade soon because Mavs desperately need one to show everyone they’re a real deal again. And keep the 2025 1st at all times and see if we can get more draft capital we’re running low on that

  2. You're right, this game was frustrating to watch. I get it if Kidd wants to give them tough love to figure things out, (like a parent sometimes does), so I don't wanna blame too much on the coach. Honestly I saw some terrible choices the players made during the game, that couldn't be blamed on the coach. Soft passes, over-passing, forced shots, over committing to certain blocks, etc. I think Kyrie wasn't trying to activate "4th quarter Kyrie", because the other players Have to step up if they're gonna have a chance to make a playoff run. Otherwise he gets overworked and injured…then we're severely screwed. This month will really hurt them with the tough matchups, but hey, Sh*t happens. You don't overwork your stars that are still standing if it means injuring them. There must be a better balance of player contribution. I hope they can stay healthy and Naji can help when he returns.

  3. And just like another person said, y'all better not be attacking Marcel about discussing Mavericks games. If you don't understand how to discuss something, and don't know how to have a conversation with someone, then get the F*ck off this channel!!! It pisses me off to see people hate so much, when they're probably projecting their own messed up issues onto everyone else. You can disagree with what was suggested, but there's no reason to start calling names and being evil for no good reason. If you have a problem with this channel, go start your own channel and see how long it lasts.
Marcel keep discussing content, and sharing your viewpoints. ✌🏽

  4. Trade for obi Toppin, that’s all I have to say. He would be the perfect backup power forward and is startable. In toppins games that he’s gotten good minutes. He’s been terrible and just the guy the mavs need right now and in the future. I honestly think he’s the missing piece to this team. And all that is left to do is find the chemistry and get the team healthy. If this team gets toppin and gets fully healthy by around trade deadline, mavs are going to be very dangerous and is going to make that annual 2nd half season push once again but this time winning the finals. Mavs vs Celtics rematch with mavs in 7

  5. This was my biggest fear when you rest players long period injuries will arrive that’s y I wasn’t a fan of kid resting the guys during the nba tournament for 8 day rest should had kept playing not settled. These long rest 8 days will cause injuries I’ve seen this story before.

  6. kyrie really didnt have a bad shooting night, he was getting bilitzed most of the game, doubles teams

  7. Man, I was telling people, its bad. when you lose Luka, it's like an army losing its general. The morale is just gone, and that cloud is over your head. this is bad guys. We are in for some rough days….ahead

  8. Mentally weak. How many games we up over by 10 points multiple times in games and we just seem to got to sleep for large durations in games. Kid needs to wake up, relying on Hardy to create his own shot at the buzzer twice which resulted in 2 turn overs. Then to top it off he takes the teq foul freethrow and misses. Use you best free throw shooter Kid ffs. Besides Luka and Kai, no one onthis roster can create their own shot consistently, hence why mavs are such a predictable team to defend.

  9. Been saying it that ppl jumped in on some of our players too early and it caused us to over value them. We need to go get Butler. He's a dawg and elevates his game in the playoffs when it matters most. I think it's obvious that without making a power move we're not in the same tier as the Celtics and Thunder.

  10. I'm worried about Kyrie having to carry too heavy a load with Luka out, he's not a spring chicken anymore. When is Exum going to be back? Having the Cavs next is rough

  11. Offense wasnt the problem, even without Luka. We couldn't get a damn stop in the third and early fourth. We kept trading buckets, and that's a bad thing when you're down by 10+.

  12. Sengun is one of the biggest cry-babies I've ever seen… and i watch Luka regularly (who has been a lot better this year btw). Earlier this year i was at a game against Houston and Sengun complained on EVERY SINGLE possession. He was abusing Gafford on defense, throwing him to the ground at times, then would get normal defense on the other end and turn into a toddler not getting ice cream. Meanwhile Gafford had 4 fouls, Lively had 5, and Luka had 5.. and a bunch of those went to Sengun. It was painful to watch. Why is it when he cries, he gets calls, but when Luka has legit complaints the refs do nothing? I cant stand the way the Refs favor Houston. Its Bullshit.

  13. When Dinwiddie your second/third scoring option we’re going to lose 9/10 times

  14. Why do yall always leave out the fact that Udouka gameplans SPECIFICALLY for Kyrie EVERY MATCHUP. He sends like 2-3 bodies every time Kyrie even attempts to touch the ball and he still shot efficiently he just wasnt aggressive

  15. If the refs didn't keep the Rockets in the game, the Mavs could have gone on a 20pt lead and then it's a different story smh…

  16. I know you don't wanna hear it but with Gafford on floor defense colapses.

He might be the only player in roster averaging negative plus minus in all the games he played.

Against rockets minus 27 on 11 minutes on floor

  17. Speculations and rumors I saw last night, was that the suns need to hit panic button and need to make some trades. Would be crazy if we made a trade for KD, we’d probably have to have a 3rd team involved to make that happen with the cap space. A stretch but def would love to see KD with his pal Kyrie and Luka play!

  18. Somebody pointed this out to me about Gafford. It’s not all his fault the refs kept calling fouls on Gaff preventing him from playing physical resulting in Sengun getting some comfortable basketsv

  19. 3-12 in our next 15, guaranteed. Since we don't have a coach, we rely far too much on Luka's talent, and without him, most of our role players just fade into obscurity.

Gafford looks like the Monstars took all of his talent when Luka doesn't play. Hardy and Maxi minutes are a wash. If Kyrie can't produce the offense just isn't there. Lively gets into foul trouble too much and always somehow gets minor injuries so he can't consistently play.

Grimes is just about the only bright spot on this team right now, and while great for him, is terrible for us. I'd love to be able to see Naji healthy and of course not suspended, that would be really cool, because his absence is incredibly noticeable being one of the only players on the team who can create his own shot.

All I'll say is, I really, really wish we hired Mosley after Rick left.

  20. No Luka, PJ/Naji being out by suspension/injury has left that wing position bare. Maxi was supposed to step up but can't. His body can't play 30 minutes anymore. Slow on defense and offense. Doesn't have a reliable 3pt shot to offset the lack of athleticism he has on both ends of the floor. Kyrie/Klay can't play with him out there slowing up the transition scoring. The Mavs especially without PJ won't have a chance to win a game during this Luka absence if Kyrie and Klay doesn't get it going. Which they can't with Maxi out there.

Start O-Max this friday vs the Cavs to get speed in the starting lineup or it will be a 15-20+ point loss if Maxi starts(if PJ can't go) no matter what Kyrie/Klay/Dinwiddie do. Cavs will kill Maxi on switches between Garland,Mobley, Allen, or Mitchell. Don't let the Cavs get offensive steam before the Mavs or it will be a long night.

  21. Ngl with all these injuries I think we'll be lucky to enter the playoffs this year unless we start turning this around within the next 2-3 games
Even when Luka comes back it'll take him a few games to get the rust off and be at his full potential again
Unless we make a miraculous trade soon and our health issues are sorted out I think we're headed for the play-in or at best the 6th spot which will be tough

  22. Sengun scored 12 points on Gafford in 27 minutes. You really have to pay attention more than to a three minute stretch of the game where he got hot. The Mavericks problem in the game was guard play because they couldn’t get penetration or make passes to open players, especially Kyrie who got smothered by the defense.

When you have three people responsible for facilitating the offense combining for 12 turnovers and below average scoring, that’s your problem, not the guy who allowed 12 points on defense.
