7 months ago, the Timberwolves were in the Western Conference Finals… enjoying their best season in 20 years – with a real chance to win the NBA title. They had size, skill, defense, and a fantastic young guard at the center of all of it in Anthony Edwards.
And now… their team is falling apart. We know what happened in between then and now – they traded away Karl Anthony Towns – who is now thriving on his new team – for financial flexibility and a draft pick – and the team that trade left behind is completely lost.

I firmly believe in the fact that the second apron is a conspiracy for smaller markets to give up assets in the long term, especially when the league already has a love hate relationship with the small markets

Edward needs to adapt to the new NBA and shoot more three-pointers. He’s a very good three-point shooting basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Edwards turned himself into a shooter to try and make up for losing KAT.
Kat was not the wolves second best player, he had better stats than ant and only avg less points because he shot less. Last season he avg 22 on 50-41-87 splits which is SIGNIFICANTLY better than Ant. He's a more efficient scorer than ant by far.

This is simple, they had to trade KAT because of his huge contract. ANT hasn’t played great this year, he’s not ready to carry a team yet. We don’t know if he ever will. The roster is more flexible with the new players but now it comes down to coaching and I’m not sure the current coach is capable of adapting.

I've been saying it since before that KAT trade: I dont know how one could view all of this and not come to the conclusion that acquiring Gobert was a ginormous mistake. I hate to say that, because I think Rudy is somewhat a victim of this era of basketball, but he's a bit of a black hole. I hope ant realizes this and requests a move while he's in his prime.

Trade was good. Kat looks better on the knicks, woukdnt be doin this in west and with wolves roster. Kat expensive. West got better wolves were going to drop anwway.

T Wolves aren't stupid. They knew this shi was a bad trade from a winning standpoint, but they had no other choice basically. KATs contract was just way too bad.

The thing is, if everybody who was traded played the same level of basketball this year as last, it would of been fine. But, Kat is playing better and Dante is playing worse, Randle is just being Randle. People could infer how it's gonna go, some correctly, but you never know until it plays out… i think they should trade Randle, or just play out thr season and then make moves in thr offseason. This could be a learning lesson for Edwards and can easily come out better

“Asking out” has got to be eliminated from our vocabulary. Fortunately, the “player empowerment” phase is coming to an end. Perhaps if Ant had demanded a little less money – think Brunson – they wouldn’t have had to trade Towns.
Trading KAT for Randle was dumb and dumber. All of Ant's driving lanes are now clogged up and the T'Wolves look a lot smaller on the court with Randle starting at PF. Minnesota closed their own championship window like big time dummies.
Timberwolves still won the trade. Once Randle is gone and Thibs kicks in watch what happens…sorry Knicks fans…

Honestly Randle is just a garbage player who puts up empty stats and if they were going to make a trade they should have at least gotten a player that isn't Randle
KAT is way better than Randle.
Minnesota should do a soft rebuild right now while they still have Ant locked up for a long time, if they take too long he'll have bargaining power.
