No, but they should chase the overall best record to secure HCA throughout the playoffs!
Why aren't the cavs getting a lot of attention ..a keep reading or hearing built to beat the Celtics, or nuggets …i feel like media are putting the grizzlies before the cavs
They don't have to chase, the fact they play 10-11 guys a night at least 10 mins makes the record not the important thing, the reps in the game are, playing this style means the Cavs don't have to chase, like Voldermot said, "the wins will come to them."
Cavs are beyond this point, they have eliminated the "me" individual stats, the we is "wins", this is about a process the process is not about lucking into one Championship but being in contention for multiple Championships.
I can't wait for the Nation to witness, what I have been witnessing 36 hours and counting
Go Cavs
This team is playing so well, so many players are being used and the minutes are so low it would take an injury or some type of collapse for them to not get the record.
If this team were to have a goal, I think it should be to win 67 games and get the franchise record. If they could win more regular season games than any Lebron led team I think they’d carve themselves a place in club history no matter what they do in the postseason.
If they win the two remaining games against Boston and split with OKC I think they’ll be consensus title favorites (assuming all three are 57+ win teams)
Cavs have won 66 games before during Lebron's first stint.
If they attain 70 wins and do not win the Championship, like the 2015-16 Warriors, what good is it. Should not the goal be winning a championship and if they reach 70 or more, so be it. The NBAA Championship is the ultimate goal!
?
I don’t think they could get 70 wins with how much harder our schedule is getting, but I would love to be proven wrong. They’re on pace for more than 70, for what it’s worth.
Honestly, I’m with the team on this one. I don’t want the wins record, I want a ring. As long as we secure the 1 seed as well and if possible, the best record in the nba, I’m fine with whatever win total we end up with.
I've heard a lot of people talking about who loses minutes when this team is fully healthy but I think that's the wrong way of looking at it. When is a team ever fully healthy? The beauty of the depth of this team is that, even with a few rotation players injured, Atkinson can keep his rotations and go still go deep in the bench and keep the core players minutes down all season. Typically, injuries are what cause they stars to clock in big minutes but, barring multiple devastating injuries, I don't see us having to worry about this even with one or two rotation players out. Hell, we started a rookie who only gets garbage time and he damn near had a triple double. That's the beauty of this team and what I think will take them far and have them less injured and tired in the post season.
I'm pretty sure this Cavs team will win 65-70 games this season AND keep everyone's minutes down. I don't think we have to choose.
Don't want to chase
Danny wadup !!! …. ✌️.
Wo,t happen anyways but aside of good seeding for home court win totals not a huge deal. Best to invest in testing rotations and player development.
