Call me sentimental, I really hope our Canadians retire Raptors.
I would extend Jak even if he is training younger C to take his place. OA too both for good but reasonable contracts.
BB, KO, DM, CB could all be moved. I’m good with keeping CB if the new price is 3 years $15 mil with last year a team option. Maybe start $ 5.5, 5.0 and option 4.5. He is a decent energy vet 3rd PF and C.
I do like the get 2-3 of these folks in on a Jimmy trade to pick up more / better picks or a a first rounder from last year or 2 that shows promise.
Don’t trade anybody except Bruce brown for picks. Tank for cooper or Bailey and next year we’ll have a really good team with all the development
If Masai doesn’t move Jakob at the deadline or at least the end of the season I’m jumping on the fire Masai and Bobby bandwagon. We’ve seen this movie about 6 times now and we know how it ends. No way him and Bobby can lose anymore assets by holding on to players for too long. What are we going to do, run these guys and pick up a few meaningless victories that’s going to have us drafting around 12-14th and thinking we’re going finish top 5 in the East ? Get real!!! There’s no superstars on this team despite whatever koolaid some people want to drink. Barnes is just not the kind of a player that’s going to be aggressive every game. Sometimes he’s aggressive, sometimes he just wants to play the background and that’s not the signs of a superstar. We need to bottom out like the Spurs did when they went full in on Wemby. I don’t care what anybody says about “loosing games is not the way to go” tell that to the future hall of famer coach, and one of the best coaches in the league in Pop that. He did it!!! Tell that to one of the most successful organizations in our era (The Spurs) that when they did it! Fact is you’re nothing in this league without a superstar and our only hopes of potentially getting a player with superstar potential is in the upcoming draft. This team is not going anywhere without a superstar. It’s time to put down the koolaid, weed, vodka, or whiskey and get real! Wanting to keep both Kelly and Jakob is complete madness at this point.
@benrogers getting blown out for 30-50 pts, jakob poeltl is not essential to raptors defence. end of the day its probably better to draft a center in the draft that can shoot the 3 that will be with the team long term while they are ihn a 4 year rebuild. who are you kidding, jakob will be 30 next year and likely in decline and over the hill when he is 33 and the raptors ready to compete. then you have to draft a center or find a center by trading assets again. cut the snake off at the head now while in rebuild and trade jakob poeltl and draft a center.

chris boucher, and davion mitchell and kelly olynyk have no trade value. since they are not in the future plans and not in the books. chris boucher and davion mitchell will be bought out to try to get on with another team so they can earn a new contract in their contract year.
kelly olynyk is basically a vet min player making 12.5 million and no one is gonna trade for him. raptors stuck with him till next year where they can try to move him for a 2nd round pick and filler as an expiring. kelly olynyk was washed in the olympics and looks washed now.
that bull shit rumor someone was offering a first for bruce brown is untrue. i believe a raptors beat reporter said if a first had been offered, bruce brown would have been moved last year. no one was offering a first for bruce brown in the 2024 draft based on how he had played with pacers or raptors. it was always two 2nds for bruce last year. this year its one 2nd.
