  1. How are they building confidence? This win without Jokic and Porter should give as much confidence as win agains Wizarads. And past couple month Celtics crumble almost every time oponent starts to play physical defense.

  2. Wasn’t thrilled with the perimeter defense, but they held their own down low. And yes I know if Jokic played that’s different but everything’s relative. JT, KP and Jrue get the credit offensively but that triple that Horford made to put them up double digits late in the 4th I felt was the bucket that broke Denver’s back. 4 steals for Al too. Thanks John 😴☘️🔒

  3. John… you were right… play Celtic basketball… move, pass, draw two and trust your teammates…JB was impressive especially with his shot not falling initially

  4. Great win, I agree the perimeter defense could have been better. 3-1 road trip I'll take it 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

  5. Good win. Nice road trip. Stay healthy.
Somewhat worried about Friday home trap game against a hot Kings team.

  6. Team doesn’t look fine even though they won against a bad team without Jokic.
Tatum shooting horribly from the 3 recently again.
Brown been horrible more than just recently.
    Pritchard cooled off too much.
Most importantly, the team isn’t defending as well.

If this season doesn’t end how they want it to, I think Brad should look to add more athletic players and get younger a little bit.

  7. What's worrisome is that Pritchard had another poor game and Hauser's back issues are a concern(although he played OK in this game). Stevens' moves last year to get Tillman and Springer have not born fruit. IMHO, he needs to make new moves to get better depth to have a legitimate chance to repeat. I still feel that getting Lonnie Walker IV back would be a major boost. I'd also hope to see Queta and Walsh improve with more experience.

  8. As you said, John, the Celtics needed the road trip. Yes, Jokic was sick. Get well soon, but the Celtics went and did what they were supposed to do.

  9. I love all our guys, especially jaylen but he's mistakes and lost 3s. lost us the game and he propably knows that…lesson learned, lets go Cs

  10. I can’t imagine being on the east coast for the games like last night. I am on central time and I can’t usually watch the whole game unless I want to hate myself when my alarm goes off in the morning for work.

  11. Am I alone in liking JT getting to that short midrange pull up to close out games? I feel like thats a shot he can create and hit consistantly if he goes to it a little more.

  12. Give Drew Peterson more reps. If he gets comfortable he can light it up hes shown flashes in a small role already.

  13. @John as always thank you for the fandom and community. I agree KP looked strong, and it is always a good sign to beat a good team on the road. it was nice to see our C's better locked in on D

  14. I watch most of the Celtic matches, found most of the rookie players from other teams, mastering the art of 3 pointers, while our players Hauser and Payton are just taking a gamble while scoring 3's, we have to do something to strengthen.

  15. Hey John I know you are a strong defender of "Mazulla ball" and its been proven to be a strategy thst will win a lot of games but dont you agree that we have GOT to focus on improving our ability to win games in the paint too, for a couple of reasons. First of all the rest of the league has figured out better ways to defend Mazulla ball – its not that complicated – defend the three point line as ferociously as possible and then make YOUR threes consistently. Secondly the Celtics, at least this year, are an AVERAGE 3 point shooting team – not above average. They try to compensate w volume but that doesnt always work. In other words the Celtics CAN be beaten at their own game frequently when up against quality opponents who can outshoot them or defend the perimeter- theyre good but a little too predictable imo.
This is where the plan B becomes important – points in the paint. JB working his mid range game Jrue taking his man down low Porzingas, of course getting the ball around the foul line ( great to see him coming back ) and can we PLEASE see a bit more Tatum working in the 15-20 foot range – i think he could be lethal there if he wanted to put a little focus on that.
Now, imo opinion this shouldnt even be plan b – more like just the other side of the coin. I love seeing us win games in the paint on nights where we lose the three point game it makes us 100 times mkre dangerous. We've tweaked the perimeter game to as high a level as it can go and it does work most nights especially against middling teams in the regular season and against good teams when we are having above average shooting and finding the hot hand. Im not saying abandon Mazulla ball its worked well for the most part im saying Lets build an offensive identity that is more well rounded. And of course great defense is always the key at the end of the day. I always hear Mazulla say that better offense generates better defense and frequenttly parroted by his players but clearly its the other way around.

  16. Well shit John you were right!! 3-1. To be honest I figured the thunder would be our toughest game especially once I saw Jokic got ruled out last night but still nuggets put up a solid fight
