Whitmore is a second year player that was drafted by the Houston Rockets out of Villanova in the 2023 NBA Draft with the #20 overall pick. In 2024 Whitmore has struggled to find minutes with the Houston Rockets as he’s only played in 18 games and averages under 15 minutes a game.

‘I contributed a little bit, but it doesn’t really affect anything. I’m just glad we got the win. I’m not in a weird spot, I just have a lot of question marks about myself.’

I think Jericho Sims is drawing interest from Houston because he can defend, rebound, block shots, finish on ally oops and finish on pick n' rolls. The issue is that Thibs doesn't have players get the ball to him often enough. Houston has a point guard who would, I think.
Regardless…I think the Knicks should convince Thibs to expand the bench rotation first. Then they should get Cam Whitmore. Next, they should go out and get maybe 2 of these guys if possible:
Kyle Kuzma, DeAndre Ayton, Nic Claxton, Collin Sexton, Malik Monk, Jakob Poeltl, Max Strus (he appears to be coming off the bench for Cleveland but was knocking down a lot of shots last season), Malik Beasley, Wendell Carter and Andre Drummond. They can try to get this done by doing a 3 or 4 team trade.
I don't know when this kid would be drafted, but PLEASE DO WHATEVER IT TAKES to get Koby Brea, the best 3pt shooter from Kentucky. He's FROM DYCKMAN, also dominican like Big Bodega!! 🇩🇴 Dominican would get crazy in NYC

Knicks getting tricked and fleeced for all the rockets trade ideas. All of NY Knicks nation will have Leons head if he made those trades. Sims and Pacome Dadiet for Jabari Smith makes more sense since they want to play fleeced your team

Cam Whitmore might be a wonderful addition … but losing Dadiet or Kolek in that trade would not make me happy
