Jaylen Brown is a champion on and the court and in the community | More Than An Athlete

From day one as a Boston Celtic, Jaylen Brown has worked to make a major difference on the court and in the community.

The creation of The Bridge Program, a multi-day educational and leadership initiative for Black and Brown youth, has seen Jaylen rise into a leadership role to bridge the gap between critical educational resources and the communities that need them.

By making public appearances at MIT, attending community programs led by the Celtics and his receipt of the 2023 Community Champion award, the impact that Jaylen and his brand has made in Boston is monumental.

Jaylen Brown is so much more than an athlete.

More Than An Athlete is presented by Amica.

  1. Glad we drafted JB going to be a legend on and off the floor when itโ€™s all said and doneโ˜˜๏ธ

  2. I hope you run for President of the USA in the future. I believe you can impact the world with your eloquence, philanthropy and community minded events.

  3. While JB7 may be the most vocal, with a special focus on STEM and STEAM in under-resourced communities, he's far from the only player involved in important community initiatives. Celtics players do a lot of philanthropic work through their own funds or foundations.

    JT: Jayson Tatum Foundation;
    Jrue and Lauren: Holiday Social Impact Fund;
    KP: Porzingis Family Foundation;
    D White: several initiatives, working with the Celtics Shamrock Foundation
    … and that's just the starting 5.
