I really like Jimmy but Jimmy does not play basketball with Pat so If Jimmy is really about winning and his teammates really like him then if he returns they will play harder to win games and hopefully Jimmy should get his “joy back “ regardless of if he’s one of the highest payed players who wants a few million more because championships solves problems

He’s being a child. There is no comparison between him and Pat Riley. The Heat tried to get Lillard. Riley said we will make our decision summer when it is due. I’m sure it was to make sure if he put effort n the games and also if he played more than 60 games. He’s finally realizing he’s wrong because no one is giving him what he wants. I don’t see dozens of teams offering him what he wants. So that’s all needed to say. He would have gotten his JOY BACK IF THEY WOULD HAVE PAID HIM. This is ridiculous and I love Jimmy. I been team Miami I agree he needed a extension, but not for that money. He got paid for what he's done. How can we pay him that money, but get talent to help him? I agree with Pat he has a contract he should treat it as such, and fulfill it like any of us in the real world.
I’m sorry but why must there be so much emphasis on public opinion about who won and who lost? That’s the issue I take with today’s society. It’s not about the reality of situations but what people think. Which means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things and definitely going up against what’s tangible and real. The Heat clearly wanted to give him an opportunity this season to make a case for his ask. That’s it. The ask is clearly too much and Jimmy is trying to cover it up with antics. He’s 35 but still very immature. Having an agent in the mix makes things worse because with them it’s all about pressuring players for most money. When these players retire and rethink negotiations they tend to understand better hindsight. It is what it is. But winning public opinion is an empty victory that has caused so many to think irrationally and win nothing in the end. Jimmy needs better people in his corner other than social media
Alright let’s use the “Boss” concept but using Jimmy instead. He has a top employee in his company who started missing a lot of work days because of illness and personal reasons. At times when he did show up, he was not as motivated even though when he tried, he actually worked like no other. Now during their most busy season of the business, his employee once again is not available because he’s sick and that takes him away for some extra days. The busy season finishes and that employee comes back but this time requesting a raise!! Will jimmy as a boss give that person the money he is asking for after so much inconsistency? He wouldn’t.

He got several extensions while he was playing good it’s only normal that he doesn’t get one when he’s not. if you’re injured and you’re not able to help your team on the court, why should you be allowed to talk bad about other teams. I’ve been here since 2003. No one hates Jimmy . I love him and he’s a amazing player, but that doesn’t mean he’s not childish. Pat has been doing this before Jimmy was even born. It’s easy to say pay him when it’s not your money. But y’all are the same people who are going to complain when they aren’t able to make any moves in the future.
