NBA highlights really need to show more blocks and steals.
When AG and Murray are healthy, I think the starters are: Jokic, Murray, MPJ, AG, and Westbrook.

14:08 idk man, AG + Westbrook aren't the best shooter… What I do want to try experimenting with is play AG as a back up 5 which is a position we really lack and he can do especially in the playoff. But that also means we will be running a very thin line up maybe 7-8 players per game which would lead to overwork and injuries.
Also we need Westbrook on the bench cuz our bench unit offense kinda sucks…

I personally wouldn’t have him start when AG gets back, it’s less about him and more about CB, I’d prefer to have Russ and Strawther in the backcourt in all bench unit line ups than Strawther and CB just because of experience, would also mean that Jamal could have more rest

Not sure if Westbrook needs to go back to the starting lineup, but I know for sure Murray needs to adjust and be more off ball. So there need to be more lineups with Jamal and Russ together, Jamal naturally slides to 2 (in theory).
I also know that if Nuggets rely on Westbrook being Westbrook in the playoffs, its gonna end the same way it ended for every other team. Instead, Westbrook's strengths should be utilized together with Jokic. Can't let Westbrook run the show (not saying they will, just warning in advance), let Jok and him pair up in a two man game, that shit looks lethal.
Also, there is such a huge gap between top three-four teams in the NBA, the mid-tier teams like Denver, and the bottom ones. If you are a mid team, you'll dominate against the Nets, Pistons and the like, but get absolutely torched against the Cavs or Thunder. They are on a whole another level, so this needs to be kept in our minds always. Doesn't really matter how good you are otherwise, you ain't competing with them.

Westbrook is playing too good for him not to be a starter at this point. If AG comes back you keep Westbrook starting and send CB to the bench. Balance the the second unit minutes by taking out Murray early in the first and putting him in again at the end of the first and beginning of the second maybe.
There needs to be a facilitator for unit 2, but man would i love to see Westbrook starting next to Jokic!

Big salute to you AG and Westbrook together in the lineup without Murray, who in my opinion is a serious fraud of a basketball player.Murray has been out of the game as a basketball player since the last playoffs, his game is on par with the Albanian basketball league where he would be the league's MVP with 14 points,he gets a lot of money for his big nothing from basketball
Yes, Westbrook should be a starter. No it shouldn't be with Murray, at least once AG comes back: Murray should come off the bench, with Pickett at the backup PG spot and then Murray should play crunch time in the 4th with the starting rotation (likely in place of Braun or Westbrook or MPJ, depending on the game and matchups, etc).
I think the lines of bench/starter will be blurred. It might depend on match ups. Due to the injuries this year, Malone had to experiment with different rotations. I can see an argument for Murray/CB/Brodie to come off the "bench" but either way they will all get healthy minutes. The person who will suffer the most is PSwat. Which is unfortunate because he is developing nicely. I do feel like Brodie will close most games though. He is too valuable.

If i was Aaron Gordon, i would throw ego out the window and relegate to the bench. make sure that during non-Jokic minutes, mostly 2nd quarter where they collapse, defense will tighten with PWat.
If the players wants to win, don't mind who's the starters. But I think Westbrook is good to be start 1st than Braun or Murray
Start Murray, Jokic, Gordon, Braun, and Mpj and then after a few minutes swap Westbrook for Murray and a bench player for Mpj. That way you keep Murray happy with him getting the start. This also brings in Westbrook's energy once things cool down after the start of the game. This also helps our bench more as they are playing more with the starters.
Westbrook is the second best player on the team so yeah, he needs to be in the starting lineup for sure. I'd start him over Murray if it came down to it.

when Gordon gets back Russ will default back to running the bench with ocassional starter games I think
Im so conflicted. On one hand Westbrook adds so much to the starting lineup with his pace of play, energy and defense. On the other hand hed have to start over CB, who is the future.
CBs defense has not been as good this year as it was last year, but playing with Westbrook and Jokic, he gets a ton of layups and dunks.

Most Nuggets fans want CB benched so that Russ can start with the core 4! I agree with that assessment.
You gotta keep Russ in the starting lineup. I'm sure Gordon and Murray will keep getting injured. So whoever isn't injured at the time should be starting. If both of them are healthy I think you switch Murray and Gordon starting depending on matchup. Russ gotta stay in the starting spot.
The Jokic-Westbrook 2 man game has evolved so quickly and has become a monster. The Nuggets are in a real pickle when it comes to their roster because they can't move Aaron Gordon or Jamal Murray due to their contract, but both of them have missed a majority of the season and are really inconsistent this year. MPJ is their only trade piece, but he is their best shooter not named Jokic. MPJ is also a huge rebounder and has really developed his offense this season with put backs and cuts to the rim.
They have a lot of dead weight on their bench. The Zeke contract is killer and Vlatko's contract doesn't help either especially since he is perpetually injured. I think they have to ride out this season as is with maybe a minor trade if they can find one, but I don't think they will have a big name trade happen. If Murray doesn't show anything this season to justify the contract they gave him, the office is going to have to make some really hard decisions because holy crap Westbrook and Jokic needs to remain a thing and there is no way that Westbrook is going to continue playing on a Vet Minimum deal.
I think the Nuggets just need to figure out a way to have Westbrook on the floor for the majority of the Jokic minutes once Aaron and Murray are healthy. Maybe you play those two for the first 6 minutes and then stagger Aaron and Murray with the bench.
I think pushing Braun back to his role with the bench and moving Jamal to the 2 guard could be an excellent look for the Nuggets with Gordon back. That’s 4 people on the floor that can play make to some degree and 2 at an incredibly high level. The defense would also be better I think with Westbrook and Gordon playing together. People want Jamal benched for Russ, and that’s just never going to happen.
Why don't all you couch coaches lay off Murray? He's been hurt for a long time and is playing through it. He won you a championship two years ago. Russ is there to fix the bench. We already have the best starting unit the last three years. That doesn't need to be fixed. Go Nuggets!
Russ is better than all anticipations! While Denver fw Brodie heavy, AG is our Mr. Nugget (king of the fans and vibes) and rightfully deserves his role in the starting lineup. Russ will hopefully continue to bring this production in our 6Man role…as well as expected w/o Jok.
