I have no idea how to assess this team. The only thing that is becoming more and more clear is that this team does not want to win.
I feel like ever since we went with "vision 6'9" (nice), it just kinda went down hill.
Masai needs to give this core a legit POA defender at the 3 and a backup/starting center that can defend the paint. Gradey can come off the bench

Motorcade! Cade is better than Scottie don’t get it twisted. Raptors have more talented team but it just comes down to coaching. Darko makes no adjustments. Bottom line he’s lost the room.

The defense is basically nonexistent with the starters. Bring Grady off the bench, start Ochai instead.
Bbq should be in the kitchen and not on the basketball floor. The puzzle doesnt fit. OG was a better fit with Scottie.

RJ consistently lacks effort on defense, that combined with the lack of FT ability means he can't be a building block of a fun team. I'd prefer Gradey be used as a microwave scorer.
BBQ has hardly any min's together. They been on the team together for a while yes, but all three havnt got to play. They still need to build legitimate game chemistry. Thats why this season was so important and unfortunatley alot of time was wasted due to injury.
I agree with your take here. I think it’s a bit early to start judging the BBQ lineup, but the defence is definitely concerning. Quickly, Barrett and Dick are so weak defensively that it makes their starting lineup almost unplayable. I think the offence will start clicking after sometime, but the defence is a real concern for the long term.
So you want Barnes to put up 30pts while taking on the toughest defensive assignment in Cade . Guarding him 1 vs 1 coverage while making good reads on the offensive end only for his team mates, especially starters to brick or made dumb mistakes.
So what do you want from SB Will? The offense ran through IQ . He took too many possessions along w/ RJ. Continue to pass the ball to RJ even though he was bricking. Scottie made a lot of good reads & was passing the ball. Go and look in the 1st half especially. YAK & IQ getting wide open shots off passes from Barnes & brick. There was a possession in the 3Q where Scottie passed to IQ & instead of shooting the 3 he passed to.RJ who was bricking all night when he is the better shooter. 2 assists to 2 turn overs from IQ is terrible.
Will so vets are better than Raps vets. So stop it. Beasly has made 125 3's so far. Good for 5 in the NBA. In the last 3 wks they are up to 7 in 3pt fg %. I hate when you have these pods w/o doing your research.
It was 109-109 & Raps missed 4 fts both Yak & RJ zapped all the momentum Raps had.
Will you said it: RJ, IQ& Gradey only wants to score. They don't want to do the dirty work but BARNES should & still have the energy to put up points & grab rebounds while also lead? Which franchise player is ask to do all that? Some of these Raps fans are pathetic.
Remember all the IQ is jason Kidd and Scottie needs to become jason Tatum talk? Heres the issue Scottie is clearly our best playmaker and our media and many of the fanbase cant even comprehend that just because he’s 6’9 doesn’t mean he’s not a point guard. You dont have Magic Johnson and then ask him to become Carmelo Anothony. Yall crucified Scottie for having 8 to’s but Cade had 8 to’s this game and no one is questioning whether he should play a new position. I hate the narratives because it shouldn’t be IQ vs Scottie or Scottie vs RJ etc. Just look at it for what it is, they complement each other really well if we have them play in there natural roles playing to their strengths. IQ is a scorer who also is an improving play maker and need to be in the secondary play making role. That helps scottie for when he needs to be more aggressive and score. Then scottie running the show, the team runs at it best and the ball is in our best player/ decision makers hand. I dnt understand how yall dont see it but i guess because its not conventional people cant see it. Theres more issues related to defence also but that gonna require some personal change probably something we cant address till offseason.
