  1. Damn, kinda sad that they can’t even spell Alperen’s name right in the time stamps. Clutch City reppin right here… get it right ppl.

  2. Most of the Rockets losses have required a form of collapse too. They have been right there in almost every game. Team is good with room to improve.

  3. When fully healthy the Rockets are insane for such a young team. What hurt them so much last year was not having Tari Eason basically at all. Had he played even half of the season healthy, I suspect that the Rockets would have been the 6th or 7th seed last year and not been a surprise at all.

He's just that important of a player for the Rockets as he gives them someone who can actually guard 1-5 while providing insane defense and enough offensive ability to be a very impactful player. With him out again the real surprise is that the Rocket's have been doing OK without him, but that is more indicative of how much the rest of the team has improved and grown over last year. The Rockets don't need to trade for a star. They are building them in house.

  4. Lou is right on about not rocking the boat. Team chemistry is a funny thing. They don't need to trade for a "star" at all, because in their super young core of 7 players, they have literally everything a good team needs and will be locked up for years to come on cheap rookie contracts.

Yes top 10 players are vital if you want to be a great team but no one is willing to just trade you one without doing massive damage to your team and it's future. OKC and Houston are now the blueprint, under this new CBA. You of course do smart trades for young pieces to develop but most of the work needs to be done in the draft. Last year no "stars" over 30 were in the final 4 teams standing in last years playoffs, something to also consider.

Even if none of the current Rockets' core 7 players end up being a top 10 player, enough of them could be in the top 11-50 (based on how at least 3 of them are progressing currently) and that could be enough to be a contender for the next 2-3 years easily.

  5. What an American POV that it would be bad for the league to see an All Star World Team kick the US All Star team's @$$. It would better grow the league internationally. That's far better than trying to complete against the NFL domestically.

  6. I’ll look at the Rockets as contenders when they land Anthony Davis in a trade from the Lakers to compliment their big man Alpern Sengun.🤷🏽‍♂️

  7. And Wemby was clapping that he wasn’t going to the Rockets have fun trying to carry the Spurs lol
