  1. If markkanen, collins, and sexton weren’t on this team a win like this would be a celebration since it was the young guys, instead since they’re on the team we’re pulling our hair out hoping we lose

  2. Nerd, you’re not sophisticated enough yet to understand that a kind, honest, generous person is not going to be well liked. You’ve got way to many underlings buddy.

Just know, I appreciate you my good man.

  3. The reason people (like myself) are generally frustrated by “I didn’t want to resign Lauri” argument is really threefold:

    1. Where would that money have gone? We had to pay SOMEONE. If not him, then who? We would have been forced to take on a Russel Westbrook or Jimmy Butler salary which would have been bad for the team culture

    2. All stars that want to play in Utah are few and far between. We’ve gotta capitalize on these moments when they arise. Lauri is no scrub and he will help the Jazz be competitive again.

    3. Ive heard people argue that Lauri is simultaneously too good (makes the team win) and too bad (was a waste of money to resign him). You can’t have it both ways. If you don’t like Lauri, that’s fine, but you can’t justify it by reversing your position based on how he plays in any given game.

Beyond that, the losses will keep piling up. But the Jazz roster is simply not bad enough to keep up with the Wizards and Raptors. Blame it on the FO or the coaching or the players, but if the team actively sat every player every night and just rolled out the G league squad every game, it would be incredibly detrimental to the entire organization.

  4. We are supposed to be losing to get a better chance at getting a good lottery pick. Winning destroys our chances. This win upset me.

  5. I wouldn't get too stressed over the wins, every other tanking team is deeply unserious, Utah can and will succeed long term

  6. Before you read this comment, I'll just say, loved the vid but stay optimistic.

As I finish the vid I definitely get the sentiment, I was there for the low years, I agree that Conley should've been dealt way sooner, but I have a hard time being critical. Utah acquired practically 3 lottery picks this past season, I love watching Flagg but a top 7-8 pick would still be fantastic to add. I have followed ainge for awhile and something tells me this whole "young core" idea is a smoke screen for what he really wants. If he doesn't get Flagg, he's got the trade bait to go get legit pieces, and Utah will be absolutely awful the back half of this season, they haven't won enough to truly worry me about missing out on top 4 sweepstakes.

  7. Jazz desperately need to get rid of sexton. Like wtf are we doing? This jazz team is pathetic

  8. The worst team in the NBA has only 14% chances at no. 1 pick. So You can be the worst and took 5th pick and be like Atlanta last year. Play-in tournament looser and took 1st pick. You forgot about it. Playing for loosing is stupid. You want players to play bad? This young players want to play the best they can. They want a spot in the rotation and big contract. You think Collier cares about draft?

  9. Wow sounds tough what you have to say about giving your opinion and the reactions on Twitter/X. I sincerely do not agree with everything you say. But hey, freedom of speech. Which by the way does not include insulting other people just because of their opinion. But not only on X people forget about that. It's basically the reason why I deleted my accounts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Keep up raising the Jazz banner high. Don't let them get to you champ!

  10. This tank isn't going to work. I said this 3 years ago, and I'm saying it again today. Y'all are going to keep talking yourselves into awful team after awful team. Ainge is going to keep promising future rewards that will never come. Prepare yourself for another 6-10 pick. It's coming.

  11. The Jazz front office has a non proactive group running things. They value their players as much more than they really are. And Grandpa Danny may be more of a part time consultant than a real guy to run things. Too much grand kid time and not enough serious business time!!!

  12. We suck at tanking. I like Sexton (probably a 6 man on a championship team) but guys like him and Collins will cost us a top pick/elite player in the draft. They just need to let him and Collins go for the first available offer. The bright side is our young players (collier, Keyonte, Kessler, Flip) are showing growth but I wish the GM would get rid of the vets who won’t help our future and will only hinder it.

  13. This team is still too good tank, but not good enough to do anything in the playoffs. Jazz have wasted the last 2 years and about to waste a 3rd year. Unreal.

  14. Nerd! You’re not the only one! I’m so sad about R Smith and all the situation. The Jazz it’s not tanking, they just sucks. But they’re still making money. That’s the plan.

  15. “We believe there was talent all up and down this draft, so we really weren’t too concerned about it.”

    – the Jazz front office this offseason after we get the 8th pick in the draft.
