Bull definitely has some serious issues.
Regarding the QB away from contending… reference to commanders: NFC.. NFC.. NFC.. Jared Goff is best QB on that side. No elite comp.. commanders added Chinn, luvu, Wagner , Lattimore nailed sanristil… the Browns are not a QB away, we have to re-standardize many positions. Safety, defensive tackle, linebacker (we need to build as if JOK is done) Offensive line, need a new TE, quarterback… we need guys! ! We need a draft like (Mayfield, njoku, ward

When rebuilding, obviously it starts with a franchise QB, but the cornerstone of that rebuild has to be PROTECTING THAT FRANCHISE QB!!! The Bears let Caleb get sacked 68 times!!!!
I get what Bull is saying about TJ Watt, though. Yes, he's a great player and yes he's a Hall of Famer but I'd say he's overrated in terms of where he stands in the "Best Steelers Ever" conversation. Everyone always talks about his intangibles, his motor, his leadership, etc. Well, all that stuff has gotten him a big fat goose egg for playoff wins. And he's gone to a lot more than Myles has. If we're going to keep referring to Watt as a "gamewrecker", the guy needs to do it on the biggest stage when the lights are brightest. I also don't think TJ Watt is a player who you can just plug into any team and he'd have the same success. He was drafted into a great organization with a franchise QB and a great HC. Not to mention, he's getting up there in age. The guy is going to be 31 and seemingly always fighting some kind of nagging injury. I'm not saying Watt's going to fall off a cliff but I'd start questioning his longevity if these injuries keep piling up.
On the topic of the Watson contract, I wish Jay didn't approach it purely from a fan perspective. You can't cut a player with a massive cap hit just because you're sick of hearing about him. It doesn't make much sense from a BUSINESS standpoint. Jay's already said he'd be a terrible GM because he's overly emotional and this just supports that. I also found it hilarious that Jay said we should trade Myles because we're more than one player away. So you'd trade your best player to create a huge hole in your roster despite the fact that you already have a ton of draft capital to fill roster holes already?
